Isn't that called going to bed for the night? Have a great trip, don't worry about posting. Any technical questions about 64k modems I'll answer on your behalf, for your convenience, of course. Rare mking8288 Posted December 14, 2019 Author #29 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Sailing closer to shore by Cape Lookout, passed Cape Hatteras, seas was 12' down to 8' now, temp is 68F, should get to PC around noon, 475 nm to go. Tonight's MDR menu but we go Cagney's. Good turnout for M&G and fun slot pull. Donated, no winning to claim at WOF.

It looks like Le Bistro, but I'm sure @mking8288 will tell us. (Our M&G three weeks from now was originally scheduled for Le Bistro, but has recently been moved to Magenta because we have so many people. Sounds like yours must be quite large as well!) Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #34 Share Posted December 15, 2019 Good evening, just done something that I just usually don't do, upgrade to unlimited WiFi for just $55 with $125 credited for the 250 minutes, good for remaining 6+ days. No streaming, but will be able to do quite a bit. Now, I can seriously fire up the notebook PC when DW isn't online.More Q&A, live late night sessions ... I think is doable. Going to be great to run benchmark & go VoIP, FB Messenger worked just fine using our Platinum/+ free minutes Friday & Saturday - all used up.Here's the screenshot, there is also a multi-device discount for unlimited plans, not getting that. Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #35 Share Posted December 15, 2019 Cooper, we had our M&G inside LeBistro since we had expected about 50, although I didn't care for the classroom chairs format as setup. Alexandria (spell differently) is the M& G Group Services contact at Guest Services, I mentioned to him to be extra kind & helpful to you this Sunday, doing it first time & with a big group. He reassured that they are taking care of nearly everything, come a little early & just go it ... no worries. Look for a welcome envelope, among other things waiting. Here's a list of who's who.Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #36 Share Posted December 15, 2019 A word about kid's club, the line was mad long at 8 pm and it's not even a holiday cruise. There are children onboard, as always, but didn't expect to see the crowd ... hear them from deck 13 waiting to get into Cagney's.TV channels & movie options, anyone.Plenty of open Specialty Dining availability as of now for the week, like Tuesday - at GSC ... for LeBistro & Teppanyaki. Swings were the main show tonight in the Stardust Theater, 7 and 9 pm. Not a chance of making the late one, plan & readjust your timing accordingly ...[emoji849] [emoji87] YMMV I have all the Dailies, will only post them later on request since most are doing the Caribbean or Panama crossing. Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #40 Share Posted December 15, 2019 (edited) Bits & pieces ... Had an onboard medical emergency right at Guest Services this afternoon, 20 ft. from us as DW had to resolve her key card issues again. Code was called, nurse arrived in less than 5 minutes, then everyone else with more equipment, setup privacy screens, security held one of the elevator. Gentleman was stabilized and transported for further treatment thereafter, don't believe need to medevac ... ship was sailing close to the coast of Carolina. Ship was going 20 knots but now at 23.8 knot with just 208 nm to go, should arrive close to noon and on time, about 9 to 10 hours from now (1:35 ET currently) Who's Who as given at our M&G ... Time to get some zzzz's, ordered room service breakfast for later on. Good night all. Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #43 Share Posted December 15, 2019 Good morning, it's 10:15 am, 21 nm to PC, ship speed is 22.5 knots, 71 degree F or 22 deg C outside, nice & sunny, light wind & small waves at 5 ft. Should see land & coastline shortly. Another ship to our rear, starboard side ... might be the Bliss following. Internet speed results (top 3 ones) compared to FiOS speed at home & elsewhere ... comparable to analog copper DSL speed.

Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #47 Share Posted December 15, 2019 (edited) 12:25 at the Basin, not docked yet ... slightly behind schedule. Buffet is a zoo, madhouse w huge, long lines jamming all the different stations. These can be better managed. That's our terminal at PC below, not walkable. Crowds near the gangway already, yike ! 😲 On fast TMobile 4G LTE signal now. Edited December 15, 2019 by mking8288
Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #48 Share Posted December 15, 2019 (edited) Ship has been cleared about 15 minutes ago, around 1 pm. Using gangway on Deck 7 Fwd to go ashore. Bliss is running late, still outside AIS tracking and look like won't get here for another 2 or 3 hours, supposed to dock at 12 or 1 pm and sail at 9 pm onward to GSC, watching them to see if they can tender to private island. Rocket launch at KSC scheduled for 7 am tomorrow, fingers crossed that we can see one this time ... weather is looking good for the satellite launch window. HDTV is LG branded using an RJ-45 Ethernet cable input, resolution isn't great. Unlikely to get HDMI input to work, but let's see if I can boot my Linux Mint on an USB stick to run things, lol (just kidding). We are going to pickup our Hertz rental at 3 pm. dexddd Posted December 15, 2019 #49 Share Posted December 15, 2019 See you there on Webcam with Cape Canaveral in front of ship and the VAB. Food looking pretty good. Chicken Parm there? One of my favorites. Live it up while yesterday my lunch consisted of ham and cheddar on rye. DW almonds and kind bar while at DS's 10 hour sporting event. Maybe I'll whip up homemade chicken parm tonight, I won't even charge family a gratuity on retail value of meal but I might limit them to one app, one side though. Rare mking8288 Posted December 15, 2019 Author #50 Share Posted December 15, 2019 Dexddd, chicken piccata ... how about those 😋 Here's real seafood for us. Picked up by shuttle, caught at the draw bridge over the Basin. Pix of Terminal parking & rental car pickup location.
