CASINO ROYALE QUESTIONS

Recommended Posts

My other half always has been prime for the past six years.  This year we chose to cruise other cruise lines and we will be taking our first RC cruise on March 28th, I realize the program ends on March 31, question, when are the points factored into our accounts, is it the last day of the cruise or will they give him three days of points for this past year and the remaining days of the cruise be applied for next year?

I believe that the points are posted at the end of your cruise.  I am also cruising at the end of March and disembarking in April.  I also did this last year, but somehow was put in the master tier for this term.  I doubt that I had 100000 pts, but was pleasantly surprised.  This term, I know I have acquired enough points for signature, but I will need a lot of points on our January cruise to get anywhere close to 100000 pts.  I doubt it will happen, but they may be generous if you are close.  We will see.  Perhaps we can approach our casino host on the March cruises and see if they can do a partial posting on the 31st.

Wow that was a nice surprise.  So you think the casino host may have something to do to where the points go and when?  I just wish I had a concrete answer as to exactly when we get the points or is it divided, everybody is giving me different stories over casino Royale.

I know that casino Royal is separate from Royal however pretty much everything that Royal does is based on the start date of the cruise.  I would bet that all your points from the entire cruise count towards status earned prior to March 31.

I highly doubt that they are split mid cruise.

Ask on board the first day

Just as an FYI, the new Casino Royale program has only been around for 2 years (as of 4/1/2020) so your other half couldn’t have been prime for the past 6 years.  Before the new program, everything was more subjective and didn’t have specific categories.  It was VIP or nothing.

I'm also cruising on March 28th and all points earned on that cruise will go toward the year beginning 4/1/2020.    This is the same way as it was last year.

Oh boy I am loosing it!!  I meant to say the past six cruises.  😯

LINDA is that you!!  Its me Lynda, we met a few times outside the Residence Port Canaveral on the way to our cruises and on the ships.

Well, this isn't good hearing the points will not be for the past year, we have strayed to Celebrity and did a couple of Carnivals last year (we NEVER will cruise Carnival again) and with having six surgeries last year we didn't cruise as much.  I gather that means he looses his Prime status and will no longer get comp/offers for the next 18 months?  Am I correct on this?  If this cruise his points contribute to April 1 points, I guess that. means his offers will start in 2021 sometime?  Its not a big loss because he worked his way to Amethyst and next year we have two longer cruises booked with them so he sure will get to Sapphire...I gather Celebrity will start sending him offers soon...when we get RC offers we will come back and only cruise both those cruise lines.

Where are you staying in Miami?  We just cancelled B2B Mariner and booked the Empress on this March 29th sailing just two days ago, I got my airfare yesterday now need to book a hotel.

Who told you that Casino Royale or Club Royale for that matter is separate from Royal Caribbean? That is 100% incorrect. The Casino is in house & has been for decades.

I think on a week long cruise he averages 7500 points...if he gambles for three days its very possible he will get the 2500 points by and on March 31st.  I just wish I had a concrete answer, I do think though it just may carry on for April 1.

Your husband sounds like me - it’s easy to get prime in one day on a sea day

All of the points go to the year that starts April 1st.  If he gets 7500 points on the cruise, all 7500 points are credited to the year that starts April 1st.  None of the points go to the year that ends March 31st.

In that case, I would assume he won't be getting any offers/comps until after March 31, 2021 am I correct?

Have you checked the ClubRoyaleOffers site to see if he already has offers? He probably still has offers in his account based on past play even if he didn't get to Prime status for this year.

If he does not achieve Prime for the April 1, 2019 - March 31, 2020 rated period, he will not receive the Comp Interior 8 day cruise on/around April 15, 2020, but his online/e-mail/mailed offers should start within 8-12 weeks of your cruise. If his Prime status is credited to the 2020-2021 rating year, his comp interior will be issued around April 15, 20201 (assuming no program changes). However, that would usually be a relatively low value offer for people who earn 7500 points per cruise. I earn around 6500 points per cruise usually and my online offers are generally for comp balcony and/or junior suites and the trade in value is typically $1500.

I think really the only people who get high value from the annual comp cruise are passengers who barely earn Prime and do so over the course of several cruises per year.

Thank you.  Our comp offers are mostly balcony and JS just like yours and we also get a credit cruise for $2500...we used that already but we had to cancel the cruise last week and it expired, the next best offer was a credit for $1750.

I am glad he will continue to get offers because I like to stay with RC, although we also now cruise Celebrity so its nice changing back and fourth.

Odd how your comp trade in value is 1500...and his is 2500 was that 1500 last year or this year?

The $1500 was pretty consistent throughout 2019. There were some random offers in the $700-1000 range, but the main monthly offer (issued in the first couple days of the month) always had a trade in of $1500.

That monthly offer code also always ends in "03" for me each month. The two-digit number at the end of each offer indicates a player's totally unofficial and changeable offer tier level for that particular offer with Casino Royale. (Note that a player's offer tier is also not at all directly tied to their player club tier, which is based on cumulative annual points rather than Average Daily Theoretical Loss (ADT), which is the likely main factor for a player's offer tier.

Since he's earning around 7500 per sailing, he is probably one tier level higher than I am. Do his offers normally end in "02?" The lower the number, the higher the offer tier, which equates to better sailings, better room categories, and a higher trade in value.

Like I said, I earn around 6500 per cruise. My next cruise is longer (10 night vs. standard 7) so I should come closer to 8000 or so on that sailing. I'll be interested to see how my offers react after March, and if that's enough to get me to the next tier.

So if you have enough points for prime on Mar 31st are you considered prime for the next year?

That's correct. Your Prime interior annual cruise offer should generate sometime in mid-April. From there, you can use it on any cruise* that is not past the final payment date.

*up to 8 days, not over "holiday" periods.

Basic question.

What is the website to check points.

The clubroyale website will not post your points but it will post offers that are available to you.

You can call casino royale and ask them for total paids earned so far.

If you make 2500 points in a single cruise you get an instant certificate with limited free cruise offers on the back of the certificate

I go to the casino host & get my certificate rather than wait for them to deliver it to my stateroom especially if I am close to the end of the cruise

They should update the site to list your points.  I get nervous about playing the last night when they send the certs either the afternoon of or the night before.  I like how they have the casino hosts on their site now (wonder if they stole that idea from CC.)  Just looks like it would be not much effort for them to include your points /  status like any other casino site but alas I know it's Royal and their websites.  I should just be happy they have offers on there now.

FYI I was Prime then lost it back in April of last year then didn't cruise for a while and as I would expect with other casinos the offers dried up.  Got Prime on my last cruise in one week and had offers back on the site about two weeks later.  🙂  Not that big of an offer but hey better than nothing.
