Drinks & More Package - expanded beverage selection?

I am unclear on the exact added benefits of the "drinks & more" beverage package versus the premium beverage package I already have.  I know there are 2 bottles of wine, $50 casino play, a wine tasting, etc. - those things are minimal value to me.  What I really want to know if if I get access to an expanded list of wines / alcohols that would not already be included in my premium package.  Does anybody know?  I find the online info fairly vague.

Thanks for the quick response.  The pdf explanation on the website seemed to show that, but the written description in the cruise planner suggested there may be a more expanded wine selection.  No worries, the other add-ons (wine tasting, casino play, etc.) aren't worth much to me so I'll save my money!

So, what are the average drink prices for, say, like an Aviation martini? Something beyond call drinks. The online info shows that each package (Basic, Premium or D&M) show a dollar amount covered for individual drinks that would be covered, but does that allowance accommodate most / all drinks?

The premium limit of $15 covers almost all mixed drinks. Using good liquors (eg Stoli Elit, Macallan, Hendricks, etc). And some wines. But they do have many wines by the glass that are above that amount (Things like Grgich Hills, Caymus).

The primary difference between the Classic package and Premium for cocktails is the brand of liquor used to make the drink.  As a example, a vodka martini with the Premium package could be made with Grey Goose  vodka; with the Classic package the martini could be made with Tito’s  vodka.  So most cocktails are covered by the Classic package.

The large martinis made at the Martini  bar and the cocktails at the World Class Bar are above the Classic package limit but you can pay the difference + tge gratutity on the difference.

There is a wider range of wine with the premium package than the Classic and the Classic includes generic bottled water while the premium includes brands like Evian.

Thanks for the replies.

So “The large martinis made at the Martini  bar and the cocktails at the World Class Bar are above the Classic package limit” - are they also above the allowance in the Premium package?

I did see the liquors that are included in Premium, and that will work. Was just curious about cocktail pricing relative to what’s prepaid.

Really appreciate everyone’s input.

Only replying to say that Celebrity doesn't have Maraschino liqueur on the menu (apparently they used to?) so you can't get an Aviation or a Hemingway special. A real shame because those are my favorite cocktails.

Beware that if when you order a drink at a regular bar that doesn’t have signature drinks that are on the menu they will use well spirits even if you have the Premium Pack unless you specify the type of liquor you want

if you order a martini that isn’t from the Martini Bar they will use well spirits and will be in a smaller glass.  If you ask for a premium liquor they will use it but they won’t be able to make the Martinis that you get at the Martini Bar.

I like Aperol with prosecco. Is that covered under the premium package?

Please be aware that the Martini Bar on Edge has two sizes of martinis. The prices are $15.00 and $18.00. The $18.00 ones are not included in the Premium Package. It’s easy to simply order a second $15.00 Martini to avoid the extra $3.00 charge.

Well that's news! I thought large ones were $15. I have the premium beverage package and don't plan on paying the upcharge. I love martinis cosmopolitan apple martinis and one recently had on the Equinox called a blue moon not sure may be gin based. Do they have tanqueray or Bombay sapphire onboard?

We were charged extra for the "smoking" drink at the World Class bar and had the Prem Bev package last April.  Things might have changed but that's the only place we had an "upcharge".

Please remember that the beverages and snacks in the fridge in your cabin is included in the D&M Package.

Albeit limited selection of alcohol, yet included and restocked daily...

bon voyage

And by having the smaller one you can change/ refresh drinks more frequently

On the Edge at the  Eden Bar they also have drinks that are above the limit.

The World Class Bar also has a few

There are 4 sizes of martini glasses

The smaller type you get at free parties on board, Elite HH, and regular bars.

The mini size used for the Martini flights

At the Martini bar on the Edge there are their regular large size and the supersized that cost extra.

I saw Aperol on the Infinity (noticed it in the casino bar). I'm sure an Aperol spritz would be covered with the premium package. I don't, however, see Aperol listed on the celebrity drink package list https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/Celebrity-Cruises-Beverage-Packages.pdf so your experience may vary.

Yes they do. As well as Tanqueray 10 and Hendricks and some other good gins.

Appreciate all the commentary from those that behave been there. Yes, there are some good choices in the premium spirits (Hendrick’s, Macallan, Woodford).

I am intrigued by the martini flights. And the mini bar being both included & restocked daily. Looking forward to this adventure & meeting ya’ll.

We enjoyed the martini flights. Asked to exchange one of the martinis for a different one but bartender said no worries he just gave us the extra free of charge so we tipped him a few dollars more.

Martini flights are not included in the beverage packages. You need to pay extra for this, but the bartender usually puts on a pouring show for you. You can also order each of the drinks included in a flight one drink at a time if you want to save money.
