I always check it out. If it's at all engaging I watch in the evening (it's taped the night before) and if it's not interesting - as in the last cruise - I don't bother with it for the rest of the cruise. It's pretty easy to tell how it's going to go if I just watch the first one. I have no interest in something that's going to be about the spa or Effy every day. On our first cruise the CD was a goofball by the name of Peter Tredgett. we enjoyed his Wake Show.

We though he was one of the best CDs we had ever had. There is another CD (who's name escapes me now but he was really well known) who was excellent as well. He's not listed in this new listing. It's sad that people who were really good at the job are now gone.

 

(Wow, it is really peeving me that I can't come up with the other CDs name. He was around for a long time and really very good. The photos of the ship staff boards are a great idea.  If anyone takes and posts more pictures, please try to get as close as possible to the board without missing any info..  Then use the highest resolution you can.  Otherwise the names can be tough to read.

Peter Tredgett was our CD on the Sea Princess from SF to Sydney in 2011. He was a wild man! No one can compare.

Same time frame as our cruise with him. Our first cruise was a 10 day Alaska round trip out of San Francisco on Sea Princess in 2011.
