Disneyfan2 Posted February 19, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2020 I read on cruise critic that room service for continental breakfast is not complimentary. I understood that it was - which is correct? Thank you in advance!
BekkaW Posted February 19, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Continental breakfast room service is complementary on all RCI ships. It’s only the cooked items that attract a fee
Norwich Cruiser Posted February 19, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Yes it’s free. When anything is charged for its per delivery not per person or item.
Ptroxx Posted February 19, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2020 (edited) Continental breakfast tip. Get double everything and put it in the cooler/frig for the next day on the first night then you always have it if ya want something. as the drinks can get warm. That is if your getting juice or milks. my morning cabin breakfast was. 2 OJ’s 2 milks and cereals. And 2 fruit plates. also bring ziplocks if you wanna bring some fruit with you on an excursion. side note. I travel solo so that’s why double. If your a couple get 4 lol Edited February 19, 2020 by Ptroxx
njkruzer Posted February 19, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Some ports will not let you take food off that's not sealed in original packaging.

Please don’t do that. Also, some coolers (they’re not really refrigerators) will not safely keep milk fresh overnight.

The thing I like about cruise critic as compared to Facebook is the correct answers substantially outnumber the incorrect answers and when someone does post something incorrect, it is normally corrected by multiple posters.

But reading it’s a No No.didnt realize that. oops. And the cooler/refrig was very cold. As you can see in my picture by the look of my fruit. And my OJ was ice cold every morning. I’m pretty sure the OJ is concentrate but it’s still good. A lot better than I’ve had at some free breakfast at hotels. Like Best western. jakeil7 Posted February 19, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2020 No matter if it’s room service or in the dining areas, fresh squeezed juice is a chargeable item.

Many of the islands are very strict and ask as you are getting off the ship. Bermuda had a huge table of bags like yours, taken from those who didn't follow the rules stated in the cruise compass. Cozumel is also very strict and has agriculture dogs as you exit the ship. Don't introduce foreign pests to the islands. Look what happened in California with the med fly. It is for Australia but not from England. We always pre-pay our gratuities and until a couple of years ago we had to pre-pay as a condition of getting MTD and I have heard this has been reindroduced. When they offer free drinks or gratuities promotions on 5 nights and longer cruises the price of the cruise does go up accordingly. Hot room service on Explorer out of Southampton in October was $7.95.

Thanks for replying. Smoking is illegal in inside public places in the UK and on ships sailing from the UK smoking in the casino and all indoor bars is prohibited. Lots of Brit's are negative on tipping and myself and other posters on here have reported big queues at RC GS of people stopping autogratuities. Several cruiselines P&O, Marella,NCL to name a few have included gratuities permanently for UK departures.
