I thought it was in perpetual delays. The same company wants to build similar wind farms of the coast of Long Island and (I think) Rhode Island. Yes, it is, unfortunately. I'd been reading about the costs, etc. and I thought, oh good! Maybe this won't be happening after all. However, they have begun with the cables going into the ground on land. They started in Ocean City last month...protesters managed to delay the work for about 3 hours, and then the police moved the protesters, all but 6 who were then arrested. They then started in my town, I believe on Oct. 2nd, and they began the work at Island Beach State Park, in Seaside. Just horrible! 23 minutes ago, Tree_skier said: That should be good... I just went back to my travel journal and we actually only had 3 days not 4 like I thought. Oh, good! Thank you again, Dave!

The London Tower alone took up half a day and I had to leave before I was ready as I had plans to meet up with my brother and other family members. Venice is such a unique place on earth. You should definitely go. We spent a full week in London and still missed a lot of stuff. We spent a good 4+/- hrs at London and the rest of that day exploring that area by foot. Love their underground tube too! Venice is definitely on my bucket list but first we have to get to Norway since Eric has Viking blood in him. We had 2 trips to that region cancelled in 2020 2021. He thinks I have a bad stomach virus. I was feeling better but ate a regular breakfast this morning and it blew up on me again. Not to be gross but we think my lymph nodes in my left side groin have gotten inflamed as that’s where it is most painful. No meds for a virus just rest and bland foods. I need for this to go sway I have a cruise in two weeks. Have they given you antibiotics? A friend of ours ended up in the emergency room weeks ago. Couldn’t keep anything down. Severe infection and super strong antibiotics were prescribed.

Rare cruiselvr04 Posted October 7, 2023 #105011 Share Posted October 7, 2023 Sea dog- hoping you feel better fast. You can’t miss your cruise! We are in San Diego waiting to board Radiance in the a.m. We spent the day at the midway museum which was fascinating but we walked miles and tons of steps and ladders. Beautiful weather. We’ve been up since 1 a.m. pacific coast time so we are exhausted and going to go to bed early. We forget jet lag gets us traveling west. We are staying literally across the street from the pier. We are going to try dropping off our checked bags around 10 a.m. by walking them across the street. Then go back to the hotel and check out and get our carry ons. Hopefully this will work out.

At least it was at the end and not the beginning of the cruise. I hope you and DW are all better now. 6

I'm doing much better now, just slight cough every now and then but My Wife seems to be having some kind of Covid rebound now so not exactly sure about what's going on with her now. From what I read, the rebound can sometimes happens and last maybe 2 or 3 days additional days. She is just sneezing like crazy. Getting Covid the last day of cruise(packing day) wasn't a big deal. We would mostly be in our cabin anyway. Only regret was we didn't get to use our 10 free drink coupons, up until day 14th we pretty much knocked out all those 10 drinks every day. lol Would have been nice meeting you and others on Radiance, we have done the Panama Canal Cruise before from San Diego to Tampa, with the chance to do Greenland from NJ we sure made the right decision switching. Enjoyed the Green Land Cruise alot! Edited October 7, 2023 by Jimbo

We've stayed in Barcelona, as well as Rome, and visited both again while on cruises. London's been my #1 bucket list, Venice has become #2😉 Thank you so much, Mark! I just spent the last hour or so reading your Live report on your trip to London and wrote an entire page in my notebook. My goodness, there's no way we could walk the lengths that you and Susan did, and do, on a daily basis! Not that I ever could, but with Jim's bum knee.... The London Tube is great for cutting down on the walking and will get you where you want to go. Though I tend to stick with walking as much as possible. 3

I really thought I was getting over it and went back to regular breakfast and boy was that a mistake. One thing I did not realize is that there are lymph nodes in the groin area. Mine must be inflamed as they are really painful and swollen. The only thing that is helping is a heating pad on my stomach and left side groin area. I will do the drinking in your honor , wish you the best , considering I have been a heavy drinker since turning eighteen in 1967 , I have remarkable good health. Just had our Friday martini lunch , they always have a reserved sign on our table but today included our last name in the sign . Definitely feel extremely lucky considering some of the others posters health issues along with some of my childhood friends who have passed.
