Has anyone actually received their refund?

Good morning friends!

Just curious if anyone has actually received their refund? My refund was processed on 3/17/20. As of today, no refund received. Carnival advised up to 90 days. Curious if anyone has waited this long, or if refunds are rolling out.

Thanks!

Welcome to Cruise Critic!

Come over to the portion of Cruise Critic specifically devoted to Carnival, located here:

I think you will find it is a 30-60 day wait for refunds. I know that is what it is for some member cruise lines of the Carnival family.

I cancelled on April 1st with Carnival, then they cancelled my cruise, allowing me to get a 100% refund.  I was told (like most people) "it will take a while", and "it may take up to 90 days, because people are working from home."  I'll be calling next week when it hits the 30 day mark for an "update."

the more people calling asking  for a time line  the longer it will take

I would start to worry if you hear nothing by  60 days

My Celebrity cruise that was to sail March 15 was canceled March 13.  March 16 my TA notified Celebrity that I wished a refund, not an FCC.  They said 7-10 business days.  On 4/3 Celebrity notified me that my pre-purchased internet was being refunded and might take two billing cycles...  Today I received an email from AMEX for the cost of the Aqua class upgrade.  So in that arena there is slow progress.  Not heard from Carnival about the refund I requested for the cruise that was sailing in June but canceled 4/1.  EM

We cancelled a May 9 Princess cruise on 3/11, had the refund on our credit card on 3/14.   Cancelled a Celebrity mid-September cruise on 4/7, still nothing.

That was before the biggest crunch. That seemed to start about March 18...after the 30 day freeze was announced. We canceled our May 22 HAL cruise on March 18...no refund yet. But I canceled a few excursions, drink package, etc a couple of day before that, and those credited back immediately.

Lucky. Nothing yet on our Princess 4/11 and 5/9 cancelled 3/12. Trip of a lifetime and we are due a very large (for us) sum. Worried.
