Ditto ... it's about go easy and SMART with rules & metrics.  He is not the only person dreaming and hoping to get back to cruising.  Cut the poor solo cruiser a break, in one of his post, mentioned that he himself is part of that vulnerable population and by definition, at high risk.  But, it has to and should be done safely, and not to needlessly result in more Covid-19 (and other preventable diseases) hospitalization and death.

The prospects for a land-based vacation, closer to home is going to be better this year than a cruise ... well, we might go a little fishing on a niece's "small" boat, not far from here.

Here in the Northeast - CT's 2 major casinos on Indian tribal sovereign land are planning to open portions of their property on June 1 as part of a statewide phase 1 recovery, with safety rules, guidelines, procedures and restrictions - including residency, who can go play & stay and cannot.  No marketing and visitors from NY and MA at this point (thus, no hotel stay.)  Buffets closed and some dining options available for take-out orders only and no valet parking.  Indoor smoking is banned entirely at this time.  Contactless temperature checks and mask is mandatory except when eating/drinking. Detailed specifics is here for MS.  for reference.

This is another preview for the new normal in real time as articulated. Gaming properties in AC has not posted their approved plans for the general public, AFAIK - some of them will likely be modeled those being put in place in Nevada and Connecticut.

No doubt, new rules & some of it will be modeled onboard cruise ships - standby for more heated debate and disagreement.  Going to roast some popcorn ... our refrigerator and freezer fully restocked earlier this week.

The email I received from the two big CT casinos stated no marketing to MA or NY. It did not specifically say no visitors. My husband and I even discussed if that meant MA residents could go for the day, but just not stay overnight.

I miss getting my multiple casino offers. I do not play on line as I enjoyed going to the casino. I like to play in the fun environment. Definitely will be different having to wear a mask. Last time we went to Mohegan, everyone was celebrating Chinese New Year. We stayed overnight and ate in the buffet. Neither one of us got sick, but we wash our hands a lot and often times I clean the slot machine with my sanitizer. I would switch machines if someone near me sounded sick. I did all this before the virus came out.

We had two cruises cancelled due to the virus but I am in no rush to book a new one. I will at least wait until I get my refund that is due the end of June. My more expensive cruise I opted for a refund. My CAS cruise I took the FCC. I would not cruise in the summer ever anyways.

There is a lot of speculating, but only time will tell what is going to happen with cruises and which ports will accept ships. I am thinking the first ports open will be the private islands.

So yet again I am correct. You were adamant that you had been able to book something and I said it would be cancelled

You asked me to comment about AC - its  closed

All your bluster about booking and its opening up. I told you weeks ago that your booking would not go ahead and that it was a long way off. Its the same with cruises. and as for Europe - no chance of big cruise ships - they are not wanted this year,

You are not correct several casinos are open already, nj is just too far north and want to open up later,  vegas will be open june 4th.  i have already booked with caesars entertainment , harrah's NC.  for the same dates,  its already open.

Yet again Seaman everyone can see what you do. You answered a different question . The fact is you booked 8 June 2020 and were proud to tell me I was wrong. Admit for once you have got wrong there is no other sensible conclusion  I never commented on Vegas so why on earth do you feel the need to mention it. I  never said all casinos are closed.

No one is interested in what else you booked you blustered on in another thread that you had booked 8 June 2020 because some industry newspaper said it would be open. Now maybe you wil realise that self serving advertising you quote is nonsense.  I said it would not happen and all they are doing is trying to get bookings and your money.

It is entirely irrelevant where else you booked - you must be playing roulette with the flights as well unless you are driving.

Now lets see what story you come up with when  your Carnival cruise is cancelled - oh I know you only thought it had a good chance.

Dodgy, next you will tell me i was wrong about cruising starting this summer because only carnival went and no big ships or whatever.   the point was a casino was open to book and that has happened, its immaterial which casino that is.  now book vegas for june  flights already went up $100 a person.

No no not at all I do not think any ships will go before September.

it is not immaterial at all. I was in particular saying that particular one would not be operating.

I never said you will defiantly not be gambling and helping the state taxes.
