As always Seaman11 you do not address any of the points. And the cruise lines can not afford one outbreak on the ships. How do you know the Island can not survive on reduced tourism they did before cruising. They are not waiting for cruise ships and COVID 19 another outbreak on an Island and ships can not stop there so no dollars again. Realistically  the Islands do not want COVID second wave because you do not want to be proved wrong. You have absolutely no idea what you are guessing other than to make derogatory remarks about people.

Find a post where I said 2021- I have not said that ever. I suspect late September or October in reality. Strange that no August cruises sold out - no demand.

What post says I live in cushy world?  Maybe I do but I know what I am talking about whereas you are just guessing. No comment again about Atlantic City eh and you do not seek to challenge anything.

No worries he accused me of saying 2021 also,  which was flat out NOT true. What I said was NO May, NO June, NO July. Which is FACT.

He hedges, twist conments to make himself look good. It's all good though and makes for a good laugh.

Just reading comments, I'd say 7/8 CC members agree he's far off as opposed to the 2/3 that agree with him.

It's not a conspiracy against him, just but bring realistic. Not Debbie Downers, Not Nancy's, Not Doom and Gloom.

Some just don't look through "rose colored glasses".

O.k. Pcake, we will stick with the facts.

The Escape set sail for GSC today. That is a fact.

When you said that I was incorrect that the ship’s navigation was reporting that they were going to GSC, that was incorrect. That is a fact.

The Escape slowed down and/or stopped off GSC for about 25 minutes. That is a fact.

The ship’s navigation has been set with Gibraltar as  the next call on June 2nd. That is a fact.

You just don't get it. It's probably pointless to try to explain it to you again, but the original post was about the JOURNEY, not the current POSITION of the ship. You knew that but you still couldn't stop yourself from responding as if the original post was inaccurate.

BTW, lots of us have subscriptions to MarineTraffic, it's not always up-to-date.

What are the odds?  Any sports books taking any bets?

I booked Sept 27 because it was less than half price for the exact same cruise next year.  I couldn't pass it up.  If it doesn't sail, NBD, I have a backup plan and i'm more than happy to accept the 125% FCC.  But I would forever kick myself if I didn't even try to save over  $1200 on a vacation.

That works.  Is the cruise to the Bahamas?

The argument is you says things , attribute them to people that don't say things. Example two or three of us NEVER said anything about 2021, yet you SAID we did.

When you blatantly do that you are going to get an argument every time.

Breakaway out of NYC on 9/27/20 is cheap, NYC probably not one of the first ports to open.  Good luck!

I actually just went in and booked a 5 night on Encore as a backup since the deposit was only $100.  Hopefully one or the other will sail LOL

you started the argument over this thread well before that, and i asked you 4 times what was the problem with the orginal post in this thread and 4 times you did not respond to that question,  so i can only conclude some of you just like to argue.

You are never wrong. NOT

I have asked more than four times to explain how the lines will crew the ships but you just ignore because you have no idea how to crew and operate a cruise ship  and don't  say "well maybe" you do not have clue how the logistics work for a cruise ship. I do and even MR FDR said it will take three weeks to retrain the crews. And these crews can not even leave their countries. Further at present NCL and Carnival are repatriating experienced crew.

CDC will scupper any start up in August. Based on NCLH share price the market knows that their are no plans to start up. Look at Carnival its flat lined not as sign of imminent future revenue, You now saying "better chance" for August. You were much more confident a few weeks ago. There is no demand for cruises at the moment and the cruise lines know it. Carnival can not even sell 50% of its August cruises at this time. I hope you flight is refundable from VA to FL

Still waiting for your comments on Atlantic City.

On cruises that have lost all add on and have gone up in price

Look at the current pricing its about 20% higher than March 2020 so not saving a penny and all add on removed !! Oh dear

i replied to all these ,   you could not be bothered to read it or passed it off.  getting crew home during the pandemic was the hard part, getting crew once airports and ports are fully operational, not as hard.  and also with less pax on board they will need much less staff.  with cruises anticipated in august they have plenty of time to get ready.  they have 10 weeks.

and what about AC? i am booked june 8th . many casinos are open already and some more will be open june 1st.

why ppl think the world will stop and nothing will get going, is beyond me.  i guess too much negative news .

They have not the crew home

The number of engineers is the same however may passengers there are. Once airports are fully operational. You are clearly not in real world - countries are imposing quarantine and not loosening them. Not so hard I promise you its near on impossible as crew are made up of Eastern Europe India and Philippines all of which are still closed. 10 weeks for  now is very different from when they can get  the thousands needed back. A lot of crew will never sail again after this and sourcing new crew is not easy in this day and age. You are not in the industry and have no clue how hard it  is so your comment is baseless. You make comments without any fact,. In fact all UK security staff which make up the bulk of NCL on board ships can not travel due to travel advisories.

The crew that have not even yet got home will not be back for some time and new crew take months to retrain.

At present whatever you want to  think crewing is a massive issue for all cruise lines as COVID is still rife and you are oblivious to the fact that one outbreak on a ship its the end of the industry for years.

You are only thinking of the economics  well I can tell you the Islands and cruise staff are thinking of their loved ones not cruising.

They are not worried about your few dollars.

Which Casinos are open and playing TODAY and that you can book.

Do not  worry about replying as I blocked you

Escape is currently scheduled to pull into Manila Bay with crew to repatriate on July 2.  The way things are going it will take at least three weeks to get them off the ship.  The Philippines is expecting another 300,000 overseas foreign workers (OFW) headed home between now and August.  It will be very difficult to get new crew as everyone who goes into Manila must quarantine for 14 days, the hotels are so crowded they suspended any more OFW from coming ashore for another week.  There are no flights or ferries between the islands, so no one can come into Manila to board a ship.  Going to be a mess for months.  More international flights are being cancelled or moved back, only citizens and green card holders for the destination of the flights are getting on board.  Many days only 2 or 3 international flights leave Manila.
