 Looks like September coming up is not a busy month for PUP's.  I would guess that we have earned about half of the points offered.

I dunno. Seems like they might want to a have PUP opportunity to market their cruise itineraries from Port Canaveral……

The table reflects the months that the Club Points were credited which usually means the activity occurred in the prior month.  So the lull that you observe is actually for the month of August (credited in Sep).

maybe new mgmnt will curtail this program along with others..not sure if it was a ROYAL marketing plan or just X.

Royal never did it, or anything like it.  In fact, I don’t believe any other cruise line had any similar program. Only Celebriy.

Royal does not. I wish they had been the one to do it. I have been Elite Plus for years so the PUPs don’t really matter as I will never reach Zenith. On Royal I am Diamond have been 3 points from Diamond Plus for years. Royal is low on my list and I won’t book it again unless it is a family/friends cruise. Might happen might not. I won’t book just to get to Diamond Plus.

Yeah, understand.  We will be 9 points away by next year as we are sailing with our family on Royal a couple of times.  Issue is that if you make it to Diamond Plus on next cruise, you then have to sail another cruise to start enjoying the added benefits of the Diamond Plus level.

 

For us, we have been Elite Plus to for some time and also will not get to next level either, being at 855.  

 

We do plan to sail Royal and get the 175 points needed.  At 9 points still  needed after our 2 currently booked sailings, for us, it looks like 2 cruises anyway you cut it if our longest cruise on Royal will be a 7 nighter.  Most likely two 5 day cruises or one 4 day and one 5 day.  Then as I mention earlier, would need another cruise to enjoy the  new benefits.  Will not rush getting the 9 points, but will look forward to some nice Caribbean trips with family over next couple of years. 

 

All this with planning a snow ski trip and a land based Alaska trip in 2026.  Oh the effort we will have to make. 😁

You are not alone. I've been Elite Plus forever it seems.  Never going to get to Zenith either.  But getting the PUPs points have been fun anyway.

I thought we might eventually make Zenith, but with Celebrity's rapidly declining value proposition, I expect to be booking other lines even more and will probably just languish at Elite Plus.

The way X built the tiers, it's almost like they want to keep everyone at Elite Plus.  If only they put a tier in-between Elite Plus and Zenith. But we all know that is not going to happen.

Since we've been booking suites lately, the only real Zenith perk that matters (to us) is the free laundry (not interested in either Bermuda or Caribbean cruises), and we can usually get by pretty well with the four bags at Elite Plus. So very little reason to strive for Zenith anyway.

I got a Captain's Club email yesterday pre-announcing a "very special webinar" with the new President Laura Hodges Bethge.  They are taking questions for her to answer up to Aug 21, but haven't announced when the webinar will be broadcast – or more importantly, whether there are PUP points attached for viewing it!  [If I don't get the next email with these important details, I'm sure someone will post it here – so thanks in advance!!!]

There is nothing about PUP points in the email but perhaps when they announce a date for the webinar they will attach PUP points for watching it.

Us too.  I did think over  the past few years or so, there was talk of maybe a middle tier, but with the AI pricing, I think they have created conflict with their own program.

I don't get that restriction. Why wouldn't they include West Coast or European cruises? Someone who collected 3000 point should be worth more than an occasional roller in the casino who gets more attractive offers.

 

Have they even brought back Zenith access to The Retreat?
