Where was I?

It would be a good spot for the Poseidon to cruise past.

Yes it would, he was a spirit of the sea I believe and quite tall. He never wore any clothes and caused a bit of a stir when he first appeared. The locals were upset and caused a bit of a stir so much so it upset his creator who did a bunk to the main land and never came back. Does not look like any other takers, perhaps time to name the place and your turn next.😀

Would it be Aitkenhead Point Devonport Tas?

Correct. Nice place Devonport. There is a Maritime museum not far from the sculpture that is worth seeing.Had a great holiday driving around Tasmania.

Your turn.

Just don't pay the ferryman, until he gets you to the other side.

Alas, the ferry from Sydney only goes to Argentia and doesn't go all the way to St Johns

Yes St Johns Newfoundland. Base for recent Titan sub recovery efforts and also home to,IMG_1120.thumb.jpeg.f26f0262c75015e5e564a10b3946b6c7.jpeg

Although a brief stop we found it a great place to visit with very friendly and open locals.

The area was surveyed by Lt J. Cook whom did such a thorough job he was appointed to observe the transit of Venus from Tahiti and then search for the Great Southern land, which he found.

Do trees feature on this island ?

They have trees. Nothing special like particular types of pine trees, just everyday trees. The picture is taken from the island, and the trees in the background are growing on a much bigger island.

Very mysterious, perhaps champagne is needed.

Not so Mystery -ous. Ships are still going there.

Certainly worth raising your glass to, but not with vino. No bubbles coming up from this beach.
