now that cdc is overruled , would you rebook or wait till they start to get going . i dont want to be stuck in that fcc situation again.

Pretty simple-if you do not care when cruise is cancelled then book now. If you do care then wait.

I just have to say that I will be delighted the day you step foot onboard ship!! You have been such a soldier for ncl. Month after month you have been shot down, yet you still stand right back up and are ready to book at the first whisper of a possibility. I wish I had your optimistic attitude regarding when sailing will resume, but know that I am cheering for you from my neck of the woods.

And time and time again he has (sadly) misread the news. seaman11 is only shot down because of his rose tinted views which whilst we would  all like to be correct, are clearly off beat.

NCL have thrown in the towel for three ships to March 2021 and the rest until the end of November 2020 at least

Carnival will not be sailing in December 2020 remember all the bluster about August 2020, and that I said would not happen and did not, despite Carnival advertising hard that it would, and selling cruises.

Del Rio has now come out and admitted it will take 60 days to get any NCL ship back to sea. I have been saying this for months they can not get the crew back at this time in any sort of numbers.

For instance a behind the scenes jobs .... ships accountant - are mostly ACCA trainees and newly qualified. I bet you most of them have gone back to their home countries and now have jobs with the accounting firms or industry. It is a highly specialist area and to retrain new team will take time - if they can get them!

The logistics for restarting are beyond doubt challenging and just for once FDR has got it right and has stopped silly specualtion . Mind you on his salary he should get it right. see this from the SEC filing

". Mr. Del Rio is also entitled to an inducement cash award (the
“Inducement Cash Award”) equal to $2,824,495 payable no later than December 31, 2020"

Bang on, we have been saying this since April, until it’s safe passengers are going nowhere, I booked a European cruise towards the end of next year,  just 5 days before my cruise next vouchers expire, Haven etc, fantastic deal.

But then after that, we will be looking for smaller more exclusive cruise company, that puts customer service a priority.

Throughout this Covid-19 crisis, I have noted companies that have done good with their customers, those are the people I want to deal with, cost doesn’t matter.

Our NCL Breakaway Thanksgiving week cruise was just cancelled this week, so I would probably wait, if I were you.

A good gig, if you can find it...

read the rest of it on the investors website - its appalling what he is being paid despite the fact his company has no revenue. A greedy man but that big corporate for you.
