Cost of internet stream service

Considering a cruise to Alaska, surf internet is included.  What is the cost to upgrade to stream internet?  Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the responses.  We don’t believe the extra cost would be worth the cost.

Probably not. The other issue is that I don't believe there are satellites over Alaska specifically (as there are in the Caribbean) so coverage isn't as great. For example, when docked in Skagway most ships have no coverage.

Last year when we did our Alaska Cruise when docked we had 4G service with ATT while docked in all Alaska ports and had no problem streaming on our tablets. Our grandson was with us and was able to facetime with his parents too.

How about in Europe (British Isles) what has been your experience with streaming service there?..Might (if all goes well) be on Reflection.

We'll be in a sky suite that came with 4 perks is streaming included?

With the internet now included in many packages I wonder just how much that’s going to slow it down.

We have always been able to stream with the 'streaming' internet package.  It has been really pretty good overall no matter where we have been.  That includes transatlantic crossing, Europe, South America.  I don't know how well the regular internet will work, but I do believe one will be able to facetime.

Judging by the number of people I see on smartphones, etc, I don't think it will make a bit of difference at this point.
