Goodwill credits

My husband and I were on the Caribbean Princess Norovirus cruise last February, and were given a $1600/per person goodwill credit to be booked and sailed by February 28,2021. It's still listed that way on my account even though it's not possible to sail. Will they extend the credits automatically?

Goodwill credits will NOT automatically extend. My PVP (not named) was able to push it out to sail by 10-1-22 by working with Accounting to change the date. 600 was worth getting her to push the issue and getting it in writing, 1600 is certainly worth an email to yours....

Get a print screen (some people have had them disappear), call Princes and request an extension.

Exactly.
and don’t expect anything automatically. Call now before expiry and get extension.

I was in a similar position with the FCC's to be booked and sailed by 28 Feb. My sail by date was amended to 1 May 2022 however my book by date was still kept at 28 Feb. My TA contacted me and said I should just book a cruise to make sure I have booked something and change it later when the rebooked cruise is cancelled.

we had a much smaller amount of goodwill credit that was to expire.  I called and my request to extend the deadline was forwarded up the chain.  It took less than 2 hours for the one year extension to be approved.  By the way - they did not tell us by email of the extension - we just saw it change in our personalizer.

Am I referring to the wrong thing? Mine is Goodwill OBC not Goodwill FCC and doesn't have a book by date. There are so many types of credits these days: FCD credits bought onboard, FCC for amounts paid for canceled cruises, Goodwill FCC the extra %s for leaving funds with PCL, Goodwill Credit for disrupted cruises (refundable / nonrefundable for missing a port or cruises cut short), Goodwill OBC for cancelations due to redeployments  ..... hard to know which ones are in play

It is confusing. I think I have mine figured out:

Cruise with Confidence FCC is for fare I paid for cancelling cruise. It  has a book by/ sail by date. Has been extended & I moved it 2x. Now on my existing booking.

FCC - cash $1.00 deposit was applied automatically to my existing booking

Goodwill FCC for this cancelled cruise is $100 & was automatically applied to my existing booking. I could not use it to prebook excursions.

FCD gives me $100. OBC to spend on-board and can be used to prebook excursions.

Casino OBC to be used on-board.

chart in personalizer tells if there is a book by/ use by date.

my advice is to apply any/ all FCC you can to a booking so it doesn’t disappear from your account. You can cancel cruise and rebook applying it to another cruise later & ask for extension. Do not assume it will automatically be extended, even though some have had this happen for them.
