Good evening,

I'd be interested in hearing other travellers recommendations for a car service from the  Brooklyn Cruise Terminal to Manhattan, when we arrive on 22 December 2021. (I've used Dial 7 before and they were ok (ish) )

We'll be self-disembarking by the way

Thank you in advance for your help

I've only used Carmel. Carmel and Dial7 are the most recommended around here.

I think there are a couple of service tiers in the NYC area. The TripAdvisor group is going to recommend those two since their generally clean, on time, and affordable. And then there's the executive transport crowd. I've been to a couple of corporate type events where the hosts arranged transportation. Different tier of service, but I don't know who they were using, and there are a lot of them! Maybe someone on here works in a corporate office or the like and has someone they've worked with, if that's more what you're looking for.

Just use UberBlack-- they'll be there quickly, competitive with any black car service price wise, and tend to have much nicer cars overall than Carmel or Dial7.

If you want something in a tier above a company like Savoya or Carey will do it but the pricing is outrageous as they charge garage out to garage in. For such a short trip its not worth it.

If it’s a nice day (and noting that you are probably traveling light) you might want to take the five minute walk to the water taxi and cross over to lower Manhattan that way - picking up a Uber or regular taxi on the other side - or grabbing the subway if you are really feeling gritty.  It really depends upon what your plans are for that (first?) day in NYC.

For most of our needs we use Dial 7 in the City.

We would not hesitate to use Dial 7 from our home (approx. 12 min away) to the Terminal.

Our alternate would be a local car service near our home also.

Dial 7 is a great way to go
