smokeybandit Posted April 2, 2021 #26 Share Posted April 2, 2021 My guess is that the CDC will merely say that vaccinated people can safely travel as long as they still wear 2 masks and a face shield. 1

Maybe the new guidelines will be even more restrictive? And yet, the same CDC director was touting a just released CDC study that indicates that fully vaccinated people aren't likely to get re-infected or transmit covid to anyone else. Maybe the door is open a crack for vaccinated-only cruises to begin. https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/p0329-COVID-19-Vaccines.html
ryano Posted April 2, 2021 #28 Share Posted April 2, 2021 My question is, how much longer can these cruise lines stay afloat with no cruising? It seems they are purposely trying to kill the industry.

Because the scientific method. 7th grade science class. You pose a question, make a hypothesis, experiment, collect data, draw conclusion from that data, then report on your findings. Telling people to remove masks then finding out that vaccinated people can spread and carry COVID would be a big oops. Not that certain states actually listen, but science does work. 1

sandebeach Posted April 2, 2021 #47 Share Posted April 2, 2021 But I am really happy to see this! Federal health officials gave the green light Friday for fully vaccinated people to resume travel as an estimated 100 million Americans have had at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, and evidence mounts of the shots’ effectiveness.
sandebeach Posted April 2, 2021 #48 Share Posted April 2, 2021 I am trying to understand this statement. My question is, do I need a PCR test when returning to the US from our Nassau Adventure cruise in June? The CDC’s new guidance says fully vaccinated people do not need Covid-19 tests before international travel unless it is required by the international destination and vaccinated people returning from foreign travel do not need to self-quarantine after returning to the United States, unless required by state or local authorities.
