Hollywood Hotel with happy hour

Hello.  We will be flying into FLL on November 5th and staying for 1 night before leaving Miami on our cruise on the 6th.  We were thinking about staying in the Hollywood area as it looks nice and is in between FLL and the POM.  We are looking for a hotel that has a happy hour and simple food or is within walking distance of the hotel.  We like to stay in a simple place pre cruise because we will only be there for a night.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  I am talking Hollywood for the location but any place from Fort Lauderdale to Miami will also work.

Thank you

Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale is great.  Walk out one side and you have the intercoastal waterway where you can take a water taxi.  Walk outside the opposite side of the hotel and you have many different bar and dining options all within walking distance.

Lots of Hotels in the downtown/17th street area of Fort Lauderdale with great dining options within walking distance.  Check www.sunny.org for hotel and tourist info.

Riverside Hotel on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale is a nice local spot where you can easily enjoy your one night. It’s also right down the street from Louie Bossi’s, a really nice Italian Restaurant that has a nice bar and great food. I just love that place.

I looked at the restaurant's web site and read their menus.  It's on my list to patronize when I am next in Fort Lauderdale.  Thanks for the tip.

This place looks AWESOME........I have stayed at the Riverside multiple times but have never eaten at Bossi's........I will be down there in December and will have to try it🙂.....is it walkable from the hotel?

Across the street or same side of it as the hotel?

After looking at the area around the riverside we are staying at the Fairfield inn just up the street.  We had some rewards to use so it just made sense.  The Fairfield looks nice and it within walking distance of a lot of places.  We are looking at American Social as a place to stop in for some apps apps and a few beers.  Any comments on this place?

Thanks again for the info.
