I am setting mine at  8 1/2.

Probably doing my typical 4 Dark and Stormy's at the Local or whatever it is called starting 11:30AM while reading on Kindle and eating

After dropping whatever carryon small bag in the room another 1  or 2.

likely 2 Mojito's at 4 or so before solo gathering or meeting with friends that decide to go.

*Normally don't drink at dinner- prefer Ginger Ale or Orange Juice.

After dinner maybe 2 or 3 throughout evening- gin and tonic or rum and coke- depends if I play piano at a venue then I do not drink when going on stage.

Day 2 is more efficient because one can get a bloody mary or 2 at breakfast buffet.

A first day on NCL is probably around 12 glasses.

One drink in the Haven before lunch.

Two glasses of wine at lunch.

Two glasses of sparkling wine in the cabin before sailaway. (The "free" bottle.)

One glass of wine on deck for sailaway.

Two drinks before dinner.

Two glasses of wine with dinner.

At least two drinks after dinner.

When cruising on MSC we can add at least two glasses of wine in the lounge before boarding.

During the rest of the cruise our first drink is often at lunch so probably less drinking then!

Embarkation day I will have 4-5 depending on what time we get on the ship.  Early arrival then probably 6-8.  Later embark the 4-5.  I say that now, but in the moment, sail away party, etc. who knows.  I am not booked on a NCL sailing until Thanksgiving of 2022.

We have 2 Royal Caribbean sailings between now and then.  This Dec is a sailing on Oasis of the Seas and we are at Perfect Day on day 2.  I will be taking it very easy with drink on embarkation day so I can get up and moving early to and get the full use of our time there.

It depends. On MSC we defenitely drink a few glasses of Champagne because it's included. We don't mind to pay for a couple of glasses of Champagne on NCL but sometimes it's difficult to order Champagne by the glass, we have been told that they only sell bottles of Champagne but after talking to the beverage manager that issue has been solved. The first day it can be a problem on NCL and that's why I didn't mentioned Champagne.

As someone fortunate enough to have a holiday home in the AB55 5B. post code, I heartily applaud this. Hint: look carefully at the bottom of the Chivas label 😉

We opted for the Premium Plus upgrade so . . . if you count Starbucks, Soda, Fresh Squeezed Juice then I'll be at 15-20 per day. With 2 glasses of juice in the morning, 2 Starbucks in the morning, 2 more Starbucks before dinner, 3 or 4 sodas, i'm already up to at least 9 without adding in the alcohol! We will be getting our money's worth on this one!

we've been on at least 15 ncl cruises, and never once have they denied me a glass of champagne.

1st one with breakfast, and if we board in the afternoon, we order a round of champagne to celebrate the cruise.  i was even able to get a glass for me and a friend from the bar at the pool

to zerooveride.

im happy with just the package that comes with the original booking. while i have a starbucks once in a while, im not a big fan, and you can get juice at the buffet.

that being said, i dont mind paying the extra little cost for a cappuccino or latte after breakfast or dinner. oftentimes, since we always tip the servers, they dont even charge me.

by the way, i didnt write this to criticize your position in any way, just my thoughts on the matter

It was on our second cruise on the Epic. We tried to order a glass of Champagne at the Haven bar the first day and they said no. They said thst they only sold bottles of Champagne. I talked to the beverage manager about it during the captains reception in the Haven the second day and he said that of course we could order a glass of Champagne and that if anyone said no again we should told them to contact him.  After that we could order glasses of Champagne but every time we tried a new bar they first said no so we had to tell them to talk to the beverage manager!

  • First cocktail: Limoncello Martini at the first bar I see
  • Wine with lunch at MDR lunch
  • 1 drink to bring back to the cabin and check in (probably a Moscow Mule)
  • 1 quick bottle of beer grabbed right before muster to enjoy while they show us the life jackets
  • 3ish drinks on deck at sailaway: Mango Meltdown, Daydreamer's Daiquiri, probably a Rebellious Fish
  • 3 Mojitos at Sugarcane
  • Two more cocktails at specialty dining (whatever the dpecial drinks are)
  • 5 Jameson and Ginger Ales listening to live music/during the opening show
  • One last cocktail at The Local while enjoying a late night snack. Probably a Margarita.

So yeah, a lot...and no need to pay for the premium package in my opinion.

Don't worry I'm not as sensitive as others on here and everyone is entitled to their opinion unless it borders on ridiculousness.

When we were on POA in 2017, my wife probably drank 5 or 6 iced lattes a day at the John Adams atrium bar. So for us, it will save us money in the long run. Plus it will be our first vacation in 4 and a half years so I splurged.
