I just checked mine, had my second jab yesterday and shows up on the app.

I checked the app this morning and it works well except my second jab 11 days ago is not on there. I may well email the practise as they have not updated their records

We had our second jabs on a Friday. The records were on the app Sunday morning.

Is the second jab shown in your medical records?

The NHS app has updated again, and there is now a Vaccinate Status page with a QR code if you are vaccinated.  It also gives you the option to download a letter confirming status in PDF format, with the same QR code included on the letter.  The letter is only valid for 35 days however, not sure if the same applies to letters requested via the 119 service.

I just had another look. Press a few buttons and up comes the details and QR code. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Well done to all involved. Scientists, political folk, jabbers, volunteers and now IT specialists. Thank you all🤣

How true. Keep the faith, listen to the experts, trust folk to do their best. .....or be miserable and doubt everything.  Cinderella will go to the ball.🤣

That’s very odd, I didn’t have my Jab at my GP surgery, but the details were uploaded by one person as someone else gave the vaccine.  So more or less instant.

The NHS app has now been updated and there is a vaccine certificate on there with QR code, name etc, together with a download option for offline for pdf etc, so all options covered now.

With only one jab so far (2nd this Friday) it shows my cover running out on 20th June

It shows my second jab that I had last week but none of the other items that you mentioned.

There should be two options now:

  • Share your Covid-19 status
  • Check your Covid-19 vaccine record

The certificate is a few clicks through on the first link which is the new addition.

It said I could request an email, but it never arrived 😧

Did you check your junk folder?

I have just tried the email version and it can through about 2 seconds after I clicked on the button.

Thank you , I have now done both as it's easier for me to print out from email, and have download on device

I can't stop fiddling with this app. I note that the expiry is about 4 weeks. I assume that will change as time moves on. I have saved it to my documents, but as we don't go abroad until September and our first staycation cruise is August, I will not bother with a letter just yet and will update the pdf a bit nearer to the time. Isn't it great to be talking about how we can travel again🤣

The 20th June is the day before final restrictions are supposed to be lifted. I think that this is why it says that date

Why is there an expiration date of June 20th on the covid vaccination proof, will we keep having to renew the proof?

I think we will need to update it nearer the time, but no big deal. I'm sure all these clever folk have planned this all out.

I assume there is an expiry date to cover the situation where the vaccine is no longer effective against the virus (well a mutation of it).

As it is a rolling date I would not worry.

I didn't think of that, but you are probably right.🤣

I had thought it would be valid for a year, bit of a pain updating it every 4 weeks or so but it’s better than nothing and if it gets us back cruising and doing thinks we love so be it.😃

I haven’t done it again, as I don’t “need” it yet, I will wait until I am within the 30 days of travel window, so the system is free for this who really need it at the moment.

Although  my husband might try it out when he gets home 😏

Not so sure as on the phone yesterday they said it was valid for 30 days.
