Sharon in AZ Posted June 18, 2021 #102 Share Posted June 18, 2021 Forgot to mention that today on Croc Day that my favorite flip flops are Crocs. They are my "house shoes", and my casual "going out shoes". Very comfy and I highly recommend them.

sailingdutchy Posted June 18, 2021 #104 Share Posted June 18, 2021 (edited) I believe I finally have my computer under control . I was born under the sign “Taurus “ Bull so I am still trying to add a few more of my original pictures after battling my computer today . First Murano , Burano and Torcello “ UPS “ loading up on all the special glassware from Murano to ship all over the world Should we ..... There have already been posted quite a few pics of Murano today so I will continue. Heading for Burano Young family …..one child ….. This was NOT us we were on a motorized Taxi making waves . Torcello Tourist on very skinny bridge Venezian- Byzantine Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta Going back to Venice to the San Giorgio Maggiore across from San Marco’s Square From the tower we had a great view of San Marco Square and the busy traffic on the water , Ferries , Gondolas , Taxis , yachts ...... Last part of our day get dropped at a nice bistro to have some wine tasting and some delicious Cicchetti’s ( Venetian “tapas “ ) This part of Venice is called Campo Santa Margherita where we had another short walking tour and than………. Our guide Elisabetta took us to her home and we had some Prosecco before walking back to the ship . A wonderful day was had by all …………….and I got some of my pictures in ,……. Now I can have a good sleep . I did not even include the walking tour through the heart of the touristy part of the city . We saw so much this day it was really worth it to spend the extra on a water taxi and really get around ! It was the first cruise I had to cancel due to Covid. Rotterdam was supposed to embark there in April, then August but, of course, both didn't happen. I guess I'm not supposed to go there. Rich, your time will come!

Thanks to all the nursing assistants we see regularly. Crocs are okay from a distance. Poke is yummy but ceviche is even better. We did a Costa r/t Venice in 2005. Followed the Rick Steves advice about just heading out in any direction since you're on an island and enjoyed new discoveries around the corner. Found a Scottish bar around one of those corners. Also enjoyed getting our water bottle filled with wine by the liter with our picnics. Highly recommend Donna Leon Inspector Brunetti books that take place in Venice.@grapau27Graham, looks like a nice lunch but it doesn't look like Betty's. We used to live nearby. Love all the pics of Venice and Crocs in Costa Rica. Prayers to all on the care list and those who need them. Best wishes to all. It was at The Fat Badger pub part of The White Hart Hotel. You killed two birds with one stone -- Venice and crocs. 👍 5
