Thanks for the pics of the Chef's Table. How in the world does one manage to eat that much? 🤪

I didn’t!  I could only eat a small portion of each course. By the time we got to the deserts I thought I was going to burst. That red wine was so good. But I didn’t even drink a third of it

Your photo is beautiful! My DH is a photographer so if he can get a photo like yours on our cruise he will be a very happy cruiser.

Hope you had  great cruise. Remember you from Hawaii in late 2019.

Looking forward to seeing you again on a future cruise.

willyoo, hope we cruise again in the future. We have met a lot of wonderful people through cruise critic on cruises. Our Hawaii cruise was one of the best. I'm glad everyone had a wonderful cruise experience on the Majestic to Alaska.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Ahhh... That's why we never eat at Crown Grill unless it's comped. Even then we feel bad as we simply can't eat all of that food. The last time we ate at CG the staff was almost snooty about the fact that we didn't finish our food and didn't have desert.

@KLM3164 @JF - retired RRTif you’ll settle for pictures here you go. I’m still not unpacked and haven’t started laundry. But pics are quick the empty little plate with red sauce was a meatball that was delicious but I didn’t get a pic of. We were given a blue Princess apron as well

Thank you so much for taking time out from your laundry to post these!!!💖

We've only done CT once. I want to do it again (actually every cruise). I'm a foodie and love to experience new/exotic foods. Unfortunately, DH is a meat & potatoes "don't mess with my stuff" kind of eater. So I do the CT vicariously.

@Thrak When I first enter the MDR or CG, I tell the waiter, "Don't worry if I don't eat all the food on my plate, I can't eat all of it. If I don't like it, I'll let you know". Keeps them from fussing.😉

I guess those of us who "grew up poor" just don't like the idea of ordering a wonderful dinner and being full after the soup and salad. It's just such a horrible waste.

When I was younger and we went out somewhere nice I could get the 22 oz. Porterhouse and eat the entire dinner from soup and salad all the way through dessert. At Crown Grill what I really want is the 14 oz. Ribeye but instead I now order the 8 oz. filet and have a problem eating the whole dinner. Poop. (I have to learn not to eat all of that dang Black and Blue Onion Soup!)

Can't eat like I used to either. Maybe that's why I weigh 180 now instead of 300 like I was twenty years ago! I love CG, but I skip the appetizers and concentrate on the prime steak - I also love the ribeye! Nan goes for the veal chop.

Ours was the first chef table in the fleet. Neville said he will be doing them moving forward if your roll call has discussed it.
this is some of our roll call and a couple of food pics.

Thank you for this information. I guess they are monitoring the roll calls. I would also guess we would need to contact him, upon arrival? Or would you try the DINE line?

Thanks again for all the info and for sharing your journey!

Bah. When I could eat like a horse I had no excess fat. Now that I can't eat much I'm porky.

When I first started cruising with my folks-1954-I would watch as my father would start at the top of the menu (Which BTW was much more extensive then and often included steak, pheasant, lobster) and work his way to the bottom. As he neared the end of his cruising he often commented that he did not feel he was getting his money's worth since he could not eat everything. I am past that age now and certainly find I am finished by the time soup and salad are done 🙂

One of the things we love about dinner in MDR is how the portions are small so you can have the full dinner and not be bloated.

Oops... We now return you to your regularly scheduled content...

@Thraki also really like those small portions. I could have a small bit of red meat some nights and order extra servings of lighter seafood dishes other nights.

I know how personal likes and dislikes are regarding food so I intentionally did not discuss that while we were live. Buuuuut now we aren’t. The food was outstanding. Not too salty and things that were supposed to be spicy actually were.  Everything I had was cooked and presented perfectly.

We are always surprised and pleased when that happens. Far too often the "spicy" things on Princess have been on the bland side. I got jalapenos in my omelet that were quite authoritative and we actually had some curry that got your attention. (Could have been much hotter for me but I was pleased with it anyway and it was about perfect for my wife.) It's good to hear you got spicy food on your cruise.

The menu below from the first cruise shows no charge for the veggie burger and a lower ($12) charge for the lobster roll.

Did the pricing change between the two cruises or do they charge more for delivery?

Did anyone try the French Restaurant? Opinion?

apologize if mentioned already

My "Majestic File" which y'all are filling in so nicely for me appears to be lacking the menus for Friday and Saturday. Understandably, those lucky enough to do the CT weren't present on Friday, but if someone else has them to share? I will continue to stalk the live from threads - lol - until we sail in September!  🙂  I really do appreciate everyone who takes time out of their journey to keep the landlocked informed.

Almost lost my Southern card for misspelling y'all!
