No YC Lunch on embarkation day....lunch on marketplace restaurant, good quality, but the "standard" red is not thinkable...

Have a nice trip. If time and connection permits please keep us informed.

I‘m booked for the same trip on Sept. 4th. Never sailed on the Seaside-class ships.

YC on Splendida was one of my favourite experience so far.

And just for to compare the two ship classes I plan to do a Splendida YC one week after the Seaview.

cheers

Safety drill is a bit confusing.

First watch video, call the number you've seen.

Now announcement is made, all guest have to go to assembly station for drill.

We have to wait inside stateroom to be picked up.....hmmm, 5 min to go

5  min over, all guest have to watch the safety video on there screens at the stateroom at the same time.... Afterwards call confirmation number, that's it....

Afterwards you have to go to assembly station to scan the sea card by groups.

Thank you for posting  all the drinks lists and the menu in the ice cream bar

Wishing you a great cruise as well  -  I will join the ship next week on saturday  - I hope they are a bit flexible as my train is arriving from Hamburg in Kiel at 10 am and my boarding time is 11 am .

Bon voyage  !

Today they are ultra flexible.

There was a big accident on the highway ,7

A lot of passangers are coming late.

Departure delayed by 30 min. Extra safety drill for them at the theater.

Dinner was excellent.

The only drawback of the day.

We booked  and paid excursions at Visby and msc kicked us out...

Sales rep on the phone told us, no problem plenty of space on the ship, you may book there.....nope, fully booked. Even private excursion by YC is not available.

They offered 20%of on a excursion the next port. This is from my point of view not acceptable....will talk to yc director tomorrow....

That dessert looks especially intriguing.

Missing out on Visby would be very irksome to me as well. That is a great place for Late Medieval Period history, since it was part of the Hanseatic League. (But you probably know that.) I hope the YC director steps up and makes things right. Cheers!

thank you for the information - I never had an easy transfer Hamburg Kiel  or return  by coach when it was complimentary by another cruise company  - always something on that highway  - so i decided to take a train  during the last years  ( however last one was 20 months ago ; covid 🤢)

the dinner seems  good and i am very glad to notice there are still dishes "always available"

I hope you can manage your excursions  !

Learned today beach towels are somewhere in the room...haven't find so far... Have to run a deep dive search....😄

Had a long talk to the main pool towel guy to get some....there is an exchange only around the ship....you have it at the stateroom, use it, change it...

Hi,

dinner looks to me more like MDR standard, well MDR standard a few years ago. Maybe it tastes better. Desert looks really good.

Breakfast offerings seems pretty much like MDR with the addition of the freshly squeezed juices. I would be perfectly fine with the offerings  as long as they have some varieties of berries which I used to have with my oat meal.

That breakfast offerings in YC is very close to MDR is well known, but the better service should make the difference.

Any info about capacity utilisation of the whole ship and YC?

I guess it is primary holiday season around europe and expect high load, but I don‘t know if there are capacity restriction due to covid-19.

And the lost Visby excursion is a no go. At least they should offer one free excursion of your choice. I mean bad things happen and nobody is perfect, but how MSC handles such situations is what matters.

enjoy your cruise

Is that a "covidthing"? Normally there are plenty of towels in the YC and no need to "change".

The offerings may be the same but the quality of the food and the service is probably much better in the YC.

They told us YC lunch open late (1430) on embarkation day....so we decidzto go elsewhere...

The towels issue is for "normals"not YC, but they told us, there should be some at the room...

Regarding service, pool bar and lunch, perfect. Breakfast poor...

Ship is about 50 % booked but yc is full, waiter told us at lunch, about 260 pax
