On one of the first sailings of the Dream out of Port Canaveral, I believe it was a nine night cruise, we had attended a behind-the-scenes tour where the engineer was saying with all the redundancy there would be no power issues (there had been some notable power failures in the fleet prior to that). Well later that same day (as I recall) the ship lost basically all power. We were floating in the water for a good 30+ minutes with no AC, no plumbing, and elevator issues as well.

 

Seeing the same officer on Promenade Deck later on - I don't think he even made eye contact...

 

LHP - were you on that sailing?

Another comment about breakfast.  In the past, we def. noticed how really runny the scrambled eggs were.  On both the Horizon and MG that hs not been the case.

She had posted to our roll call in the last day or two (first time I believe). I mistakenly thought when I posted that she was on this thread - my bad.

On a unrelated topic, I wanted to clarify dinner options.  If you have traditional dining, you can go Cucina, Chibang, or Guys Smokehouse free for dinner after 8pm.

QUESTION: Is the Anytime dining wait any better after the first cruise? A few people posted you could wait over 2 hours after requesting a table. It was 10 minutes on Horizon last week.

My understanding from a business development manager currently on the ship was it was only for traditional dining.   That might be my interpreting her remarks.  In other words, I cannot answer your question fully, but I can ask.

I had heard that also.  I do not know, but based in what I have seen I cannot see how it ia possible, at least on this cruise.

We are booked for November 13 and a lot will change by then but we are so excited for this new ship I can’t help but read everything.

When you have Anytime (YTD) and your on the Hub app and want to select your dining times under YTD you can select Cuccina, Chibang and one other restaurant i believe as dining options other than the regular Dining room prior to 7:30 pm after which time its open to people who have Traditional dining from what i understand when John Heald explained it.

Any info on casino would be great.  Slots tight or loose.  I’m on an ultra the 28th and it’s long overdo.  Thanks for comments.

I will say that they are regularly not charging for the drinks at the casino bar, which I was not expecting. Since the Ultra promo was free drinks in the casino when playing.
