On the Horizon recently, my invite for the platinum/diamond party was in my cabin via the little card dealie. Also, no more unlimited drinks and snacks. You get a glass of wine free when entering and a “coupon” for a drink at any bar afterwards.

I wonder if that will make for a smaller crowd or a come and go crowd, I probably will not hang around for the dog and pony show with no beverage to enjoy.

Loved this place on the Panorama nice to see the expanded concept on the Mardi Gras and hopefully on the Celebration next year when i board.

The area is really spread out.  I was impressed with it.

Our experience on the Horizon was the same drink wise as the past.   We had three drinks, there was no food.

Monday in Cozumel.  Decided to stay on (we are doing a land based trip here in October ( actually looking at the hotel as I type this.

There is a LOT to be said for staying on the ship when in port!  Our last cruise we never got off the ship at all and we loved it!  Great time to truly enjoy the ship itself.

Seeing your Serenity pictures made me wonder how serene it is with all the people gathered around.  Looks more like an adult gathering place maybe with a a lot of chatter?  I won't mind but I am sure some will.

I am surprised no one is wearing a mask, is that only inside on the ship?  I thought Carnival mandated masks this past week.  It may be that I am behind the times.

So there is def a focus on masks. They are required In elevators and entering restaurants and most while walking shops and hallways.    Some wear them every wear.  Here in Serenity, no one is wearring them sitting around.  Every carnival employee is wearing one.

Without delving into the politics, I would say it is a non issue on the ship.

Thanks for clarifying that, makes a lot of sense.

Have you seen any of the various YouTube videos of the area?  It’s like 3-4 times larger than any other Serenity area in the fleet.  Plenty of loungers and some located in nooks for more privacy.

Thanks, I don't watch a lot of You Tube but I have seen some videos about how large the area is before sailing began.

Those nooks and crannies offer a great place to lounge, even in the shade.

It's a shame that they didn't dedicate the same thought into the space and accessories in the Havana area as they did with Serenity and Loft 19.
