Just received this from Royal

ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS

Dear Guest,

We’ve been diligently working through all the details to prepare for our Royal Comeback. It’s taken months of planning and coordinating to get up and running, and since our return, we’ve delivered fantastic vacation experiences to over 110,000 guests.

We’ve taken a measured approach to our return, welcoming one ship at a time back onto the high seas. The health and safety of our guests, crew, and the destinations we visit remain at the forefront of everything we do.

As we continue to navigate our journey, we’ve had to make additional changes to our plans. As a result, we will need to cancel additional sailings. These decisions are incredibly hard as we recognize the importance of vacations - especially these days. Unfortunately, this means your sailing will be canceled.

We’re terribly sorry for the impact to your sailing. Below we have some options for you, including an option that has been very well-received by our guests, as it provides a little something extra to use towards a future cruise - and there are plenty of options available for you to choose from now! Here are your options:

Your Options

Option 1: Automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit

We’re providing you with a 125% Future Cruise Credit to book a new cruise by April 30th, 2022.

  • This amount is based on your total cruise fare paid, and we’re giving you a little extra knowing that this is such a unique circumstance.
  • Your certificate can be used on any Royal Caribbean International sailing that departs on or before September 30, 2022, as long as it’s redeemed by April 30, 2022.
  • We will automatically issue your Future Cruise Credit via email by September 3, 2021, so there’s nothing for you to do!
  • Taxes & fees and any RoyalUp upgrades will be automatically refunded. Current refund processing is around 45 days. We are working as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
  • Please note:
    • If you opted into the Cruise with Confidence 100% Future Cruise Credit, this offer does not apply.
    • If you previously used a Future Cruise Credit (including previous Global Suspension FCCs), you’ll receive a new Future Cruise Credit. This will be for 125% of any new monies paid on this sailing, plus the value of your original credit at 100% of its value, with an expiration date of April 30th, 2022 and a sail by date of September 30th, 2022.
    • If you were already impacted by a sailing that was previously cancelled due to a global suspension and paid additional monies on a new booking within this extended suspension period, and you opt in for a refund via the process below, it will be for both bookings.

Option 2: Select a New Sail Date Next Year (Lift & Shift)

If you prefer to move your existing booking to a sailing next year - we’re happy to move you! We will price protect the original pricing and/or promotion on a sailing that has the same ship, embarkation port, sailing length, product, and stateroom category as your original sailing within 2 weeks (before or after) of the original sail date the following year. For example, if you are moving from a Brilliance of the Seas September 4, 2021 sailing, you can move to another sailing that has the same ship, embarkation port, sailing length, product, and stateroom category, and has a sail date between August 21, 2022 - September 18, 2022.

  • Please know, price protection covers your cruise fare/promotion on an applicable sailing only and excludes taxes and fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items, as these may change.
  • You must decide to move to a new sailing by August 11, 2021. If not, we will automatically issue you a Future Cruise Credit.
  • Complimentary Casino offers, Charter sailings, and select rates are not eligible for this offer.

Option 3: Select a 100% Refund

If you prefer a full refund, which is a lower value than the future cruise credit offer above, we’re happy to process this for you. Given how fluid this situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have until September 30, 2021 to request a refund and deactivate your certificate.

  • Please contact us to start the refund process, forfeiting the higher value of your 125% Future Cruise Credit.
  • To avoid waiting on the phone to cancel, click hereand we will get the refund process started for you. Note: Please know, once we receive your refund request, we unfortunately won’t be able to accept an FCC request if you change your mind.
  • We’ll then deactivate your Future Cruise Credit and process your refund to your original form(s) of payment, which will include any non-refundable deposits.
  • You can expect to receive your refund 30 days after you submit your refund request.
  • Please note: If you used a Cruise with Confidence certificate on this sailing and you request a refund instead, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original Cruise with Confidence certificate.

Air/Hotel

  • Refundable and non-refundable air or hotel accommodations purchased through Royal Caribbean will be automatically refunded to you within 30 days after we process the cancellation.
  • If you booked air on your own, please contact the service provider directly for your options with them.

If you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor immediately or contact us at:

  • 1 800 754 500 in Australia
  • 0344 493 4005 in the U.K.
  • 1 866 562 7625 in the U.S. or Canada

We appreciate your understanding and remain optimistic that every day is a step closer to a healthy and safe return to service. Stay healthy and safe. We miss our guests, and we'll be ready to welcome you back soon.

Sincerely,

Looks like it refers to our booking for Radiance in Nov but it would have been nice for that to be confirmed in the email.

So the L&S option... this seems like an obvious question... but this is RCL...

"Original booking" may be L&S'd - is that last years Explorer to the ABC's which is the true original... or is that the L&S to this year that ended up being "enhanced for our benefit" into the Radiance to St. Lucia/Barbados/Antigua etc?

The Harmony transatlantic has been canceled this fall. Does this mean Harmony is staying in Europe or is it still coming back to Port Canaveral?  I am booked on the first sailing after the transatlantic on November 14th that was to take place from Port Canaveral.

We are the first sailing of Anthem out of the US on 10/30..it is no longer on the website ( hasn't been for months and months).  The TA was cancelled so I am assuming they are going to sail empty and our sailing will still be the first out of the US.  I guess it is still a guessing game though!

So if you (like us) were Rhapsody out of Tampa, it is not possible to do a Lift and Shift, there are no longer any cruises on Rhapsody out of Tampa, that’s unfortunate, means Royal is not obligated to do the”price protection” thing, sad for us. Unless I am missing something.

It would be from what you are currently booked on.

Is there a L&S option(s) for the canceled Anthem TA?  2021 sailing is 10 days, 2022 sailing is 12 days.

I originally L&S from Fall 2020 Allure 14 night TA to Fall 2021 Anthem 10 night TA.  I wonder if they would allow a L&S to the Fall 2022 Allure 14 night TA in my case?

Any suggestions for L&S_ing for cancelled TA Harmony (except Allure which goes to Galveston)

You do not have a lift and shift option.

Lift and shift only applies if the same ship, embarkation port and itinerary length are available withing 2 weeks of your sail date

I must be psychic...  Called RC on  Sunday and moved our holiday cruise on the Radiance to an April sailing on the Vision.  Made the change due to the airfare being out of site.   Guess we did it right this time.  This one would have been our second cancellation by RC.  One this past July out of Galveston and now this one .  Hope things are settled down by April.

I know he said it, but is option 3 still available in cashing in any FCCs.   Many threads have indicated FCCs will be converted into FCCs.  I don't mind FCCs, but the expiry/book date and sail date, the window is simply too tight.

Another question regarding OBC.  I had $300 OBC moved from my canceled (L&S) 2020 Allure TA to my now canceled 2021 Anthem TA.  I also had another $200 OBC added on Anthem for a total of $500.

If I take the refund option for the Anthem cancellation, can I move the OBC to another currently booked cruise?

FCC from redeployment or as a result of good will can be moved to another sailing.  promotional OBC cannot be moved

TA's were told in a webinar a couple weeks ago that FCC's applied to a cruise that was cancelled could be refunded in the event of a cancellation.

YAY!    🤩

I’ve been on pins and needles for over 6 months on my retirement cruise. I can now breathe but I feel extremely sad for those who got there sailings cancelled. I was on two FB groups, one for our sailing and the one the week before. It’s sad to see all the comments who got their sailing cancelled right after making their final payment and then go over to my group who is getting to go commenting how happy they are. Talk about a juxtaposition of emotions.

Only cancellations or does it apply if you can't meet certain protocols, specifically vaccinations.  We have an Easter cruise coming and have 4 cabins and 3 of those have children who are afraid of the jab.

We were on the Radiance TA that appears to be canceled.  But we were also on the next leg from Rome to Venice.  Both cruises paid in full using FCC from canceled cruises.  Since the TA is canceled, we don’t want to do the Rome to Venice leg.  Anyone know our options to cancel that leg,?
