Coastal Kitchen

Select beers and wine (AKA Diamond Drinks) were previously free during breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The Suite Lounge (serving the same Diamond Drinks) was previously open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

I can't remember ever having any "free" drinks during breakfast in CK? Lunch was the earliest.

The Coastal Kitchen makes a great mimosa. Champagne and orange juice.  They were free in the past.

CK on Oasis class ships pre covid had wine and beer available free of charge from 11-11 because it was available in the attached suite lounge.  Some waiters would make you a mimosa for breakfast at no charge.  This was not the case on Quantum class ships as CK is not attached to the suite lounge and they do not have free beer and wine from 11-11.

We are on Allure right now, and beer and wine are available from 11-11, and the cocktail hour runs from 5-8:30 which pretty much covers dinner.hours

Just looked at our onboard account, and all of the coastal kitchen drinks we have had so far show up as 00 - and there are a lot of those 00’s

I do suites when the prices are reasonable. My husband loves the extra space.

We do suites for the same reason. DW loves the room and the tub/shower combo. We love the two person rain shower in the CLS on Allure

And because of that shower we switched out our bathroom to have a rain shower head hand wand combo.  Also did it in the guest bedrooms.  Hand wand works great for giving the pups a bath.  I just love the rain shower head! :classic_biggrin:

We did the same thing during the shutdown. Had the entire master bath redesigned so we could have the CLS type shower/bath in our home.😀

We were booked on Allure in a CLS last November.  Did a L&S to Symphony CLS for this December for the same price as Allure cruise.  Total win, right?  Nope, DW watched a tube video of the CLS on Symphony and right away saw that we were losing the rain shower and going to same tub/shower that is in Grand and JS.  She was pissed at me.  She still mentions it.

I don't get why they switched.  Is a tub preferred by families?  Why build that kind of suite for families?

We're about 1/3 suites next year

all suites next year for our three Royal sailings, one Celebrity sailing in addition, suite also. Royal has increased its prices it appears about 1/3 for suites.  We booked before the increases.  Celebrity a much better deal as you get all included.

Vast majority were killer deals via L&S

Did book a B2B VP at rack rate. It wasn't overly expensive
