Suite Perks ?

Just adding a couple of other questions regarding "Suite Perks"  We have a Suite for us and an inside cabin next to it for our teenagers.  Can we bring them with us to the suite breakfast?

Also, regarding laundry.  We are traveling for a couple of days before our cruise, would we be able to get laundry done the first day?  If not, we may opt for self laundry or finding a laundromat the night before.

TIA.

Complimentary laundry is only for those passengers in the suite.  There are laundry rooms on board all of Princess ships.  I haven't used them in a while, but understand they now require tokens that you may purchase with your cruise card/medallion.  Bring your own laundry pods and drier sheets (soap can also be purchased).

They will also not be able to dine with you in Club Class dining, but you will be able to join them in the Main Dining Room.  They will be able to join you for Suite complimentary first night Specialty dining for an additional cost of $29 per person (per pre-Covid price).  Your teenagers "should" be able to join you in the  afternoon Platinum, Elite, Suite lounge.  You will be able to order dinner/tea for all from the MDR to enjoy in your suite.  You may share your mini-bar with them.

There will be a receptionist at suite breakfast and club class dining that will have a list of suite/cc diner names.

If you like Peanut Butter cookies...they are not on display in the buffet or International Cafe (allergy precaution). Just ask the server and will likely receive a whole plate full (takes about 10-15 minutes, they have to bake them fresh 😋). Mmmm, warm PB cookies.

You had to go there didn't you...... 🙂

Place your laundry on the bed on boarding day and mention to the cabin steward. It should be returned by dinner the next day. Other option is to do self laundry, $3 wash, $3 dry + extra for soap & dryer sheets if you don't bring them with you. Irons are free. On most decks the laundry room is aft. Personally if you have the opportunity to do laundry before you board I would take it.

As mentioned suite breakfast and club class dining is restricted to those passengers actually booked in the full suite. I would not think this is an issue for breakfast as teens normally sleep later and grab their own morning meal. For dinner if you wish to dine together you will have to join them in the non club class section of the DR. It is the same menu, but you have to make reservations, if you can, through Dine My Way.

Thank you for this post.

Hope the OP doesn’t object to me also asking some suite questions.

We have booked two Penthouse aft suites for our first Princess cruise.

We sail in 27 days.

I have read the perks however cannot see how priority embarkation could work along side terminal testing. Happy to queue.

Our TA has no experience of Princess. Half term staycations are after all a new thing.

We have a few requests and questions.

As suites have a steward (usually have a butler )  will  they sort out our onboard requests ? One of us needs extra pillows to sleep more upright . Usually have cans of soda in the fridge. We know these are not included in the drinks package how can this be sorted? We are not spirit drinkers can we arrange a different bar set up. Or should we go to guest services to make requests.

How does afternoon tea work? The Butler usually arranges a time if this is required.

How does the concierge lounge work? Can our drinks packages be used in here or do we pay separately?

What about towels? These are usually exchanged in the evening after we have gone to dinner. Usually asked to leave on bathroom floor if exchange is required however I believe Stewards only come in once a day due to COVID rules. Should we just ask for extra and keep a stock.

Any tips happily accepted. Don’t want to appear rude by asking the wrong person for assistance

thanks

No butlers on Princess. Only if you book the Sky suite will you get someone similar to a butler. You certainly may ask for extra towels/ pillows. Surprised your TA has no experience with Princess. They are a popular line, even with folks from abroad.

Thanks for all your replies.

TA is a small ship specialist so no experience of ‘Main Stream ‘ cruises.

Looking forward to Princess.
Not sure what a sky suite is? We have two suites measuring 1500 square feet. TA told us  biggest on ship. However looking on deck plan looks like there are about 10 similar.

just want space if weather poor. Anything else a plus.

Sky suite is the largest on the Sky & Enchanted Princess.

Sky Suites, cat. S0, 2 of them only, S309 and S310 on deck 18. Deck plans show them at 1727 sq. ft. including balcony. Next largest are cat S2 owners suits, 2 of them on deck 8 aft. Then there are the Penthouse suites, cat S3, 12 of them aft. There are also cat. S4, S5 & S7 full suites in the ship. If you are being told that your cabin is 1500 sq. ft. that certainly appears to be the Sky Suite. Other suites are under 1000 sq. ft. If your cabin is not S309 or 310 then you are in another category full suite.

Mom and I are in a suite on the Majestic on 11/27, and so excited for our first full suite experience. One of the perks I read about was that we could have dinner in a specialty restaurant free of charge on embarkation night. When I go into the medallion ap to try and book, it wants me to pay. Can anyone advise how to book this? I tried to call customer service and ask, and our rep, while really nice wasn’t even aware of the benefit. Appreciate any guidance. Thanks

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but here are all of the amenities you will have as a full suite guest...make sure you get them all! 🙂

  • 2 weeks later...

Our friends are in a mini-suite, we are in an aft suite. Will they be able to go to specialty dining with us on Embarkation day and have club class dining with us? We are on the Emerald, not sure what special pool area is available, can they go there too?

You'll both be dining in Club Class. Their table will have a Silver(gray cloth) Yours will be Gold(yellow) I'm not sure they can dine with you on embarkation specialty meal(unless they get charged) Also not sure they can dine at your table in Club Class, but it never hurts asking the Maître D these questions.

Are they in a Club Class Mini Suite or just a Mini Suite? That makes a huge difference. If not Club Class then I do not think they can dine in the Club Class area with you. They will not get the specialty breakfast, first night dining or any of the other "suite" perks either.

We are in a similar situation for our cruise to Hawaii. We plan on just eating lunches and dinners (when not in specialty restaurants) in the regular dining room (you can link everyone together in the App). I am not concerned because it is pretty much the same food. For breakfast, though, we do plan on enjoying the suite dining room. The other couple sleeps late anyway! 🤣

If they are in a regular mini suite the answer is NO only club class mini suites.   They are very strict about this and I know not just by the policy but from experience. You can always eat with them in the regular dining room.  Menu the same just not a special item or two. They can go to specialty dining with you on the first night but they will have to pay for their meal.

No special pool for suite guest.

If they are club class mini then yes for club class. If regular mini then no on club class. They can eat with you in the specialty restaurant but will have to pay. The club class area is only for full suites and club class minis and we have watched people turned away

I don't know when your cruise is, but here is another option.  I understand having 2 cabins is ideal for 4 people.  Keep an eye out for third and fourth passenger sales.  Move your teenagers into your suite.  Happy camping for all:

Suite breakfast/first night embarkation dinner

Club Club dining for all

Laundry for everyone

Just a thought unless you are. on your honeymoon.

I have a friend who is a beer snob and has asked me what kind of beer I will have in my suite bar. Can anyone tell me?

Thanks in advance.

The set up usually includes 2 bottles of Dos Equis. You can exchange 50ml bottles of spirits for additional beer if you wish. There may be a few other brands available for exchange. If you have the plus fare you can order any beer from the menus.

All pools are open to all passengers. No pools restricted to full suite guests.

Terrace Pool, deck 14 aft and Lotus Spa Pool (no charge not really part of the spa) deck 16 forward are for adults. Calypso Reef Pool and Neptune's Reef Pool are the main pools on the Lido deck. The Calypso Reef Pool has Movies Under The Stars (MUTS) playing most of the day and evening. Neptune's Reef Pool is MUTS free. Chill Out pool, deck 17 aft is a family pool area that is usually not crowded. This is especially true when there are very few youth on board. It is a smallish pool, not for swimming. There is also a hot tub there. Usually no services in this area, but with the Ocean Now app you can order delivery to your location.

Re mini bar set up:  can we exchange for bottles of wine?

Yes it can, but the quality is very limited.  In the past, I've paid the difference to upgrade to a wine of my choice.

Yes. They have a small selection but we exchanged for a bottle of red wine. It was ok.
