I'm somewhat of a picky eater, but tend to be pretty adventurous on cruises. I really want to do this, but the wifey doesn't want to. I really wish they were open for lunch, I'd probably do it then.

Tell your wife that she's on vacation and should take a chance.  If she doesn't like the food, plenty of places to get more food after.  Definitely worth it once.

I think it's more a money thing with her. And we always enjoy the MDR for dinner, so she's like "why spend the money, when I will enjoy my free dinner." That's why i think i could convince her for lunch.

Is that a Mayan Ruin in one of the pictures?  We've never been to Costa Maya before,,,

There ARE Mayan ruins about an hours drive away.  We visited once using a company called Native Choice.  We enjoyed it.

Great pictures, I have 231 days before my Holy Land Cruise.  I have it check out the sales they may have to eat at Wonderland.  Right now they seem to high for my budget.  Last time I got some good deals when they had their Black Friday Sale.  You are doing great on your first review

Can confirm I think we both prefer Mr Sanchos over Nachi Cocom. Nachi is much quieter. Drinks are better at Mr Sanchos as there wasn't much alcohol in any of the drinks at Nachi.. Food I would give the edge to Sanchos as well. I do give the beach chair/Beach area to Nachi though.

After Nachi Cocom, we were hungry so stopped in Playmakers. I love that they open at 2 on Port days. I remember being so full after leaving Mr Sanchos but not Nachi. We've fallen in love with Playmakers and it being covered basically in the dining package makes it even better.

Izumi last night was good. Our first time ever eating sushi, figured it'd be a good time with the dining package. Wasn't charged the $10 up charge. 20211007_195234.thumb.jpg.7110a70a9b97d16ff198ea6544a3dc07.jpg20211007_195335.thumb.jpg.c319a9c670f6acee081f0e5bc6865426.jpg

After dinner we did the Tap show which was pretty good and then went to the casino for a bit for the first time since night one. Hit a handpay to recoup some losses but still down

We will be aboard for the April crossing and in a JS.   Never been on a mega ship before or in JS.   Curious about the layout of Cabin 9640.  Surprised that they are not all the same.

It's definitely strange. I love having two separate toilets but think I would prefer the shower/tub separate instead. I'm 6'2 and have about 2 inches of clearance once in the shower

Here is a video of the cabin next door:

If I understand correctly, the "spa" JS with the separate rain shower can only sleep 2. In order to sleep 3 or 4, they need more bedroom space and eliminate the rain shower and go back to a standard tub/shower combo. But still have the split bathroom.

We have 9614 booked for Feb 26th. Our daughter is coming with us, so we have the "normal" JS.

Had a $300 off future cruise from casino play this week which was surprising since we didn't play very long the two nights we were in the casino. Think I lost maybe $800 between the two nights but also had that handpay of $1300 to recoup some losses.

Have a cruise already booked for March but went ahead and canceled our January Vegas trip coming up and booked the 8 nighter on Allure in its place!
