Lovely cabin!  And the size of the balcony is impressive.

Happy sailing!

We are settling in well.   Our luggage arrived while we were at lunch and when we returned Chetan, our Cabin Attendant had put it in our room on our bed in order to unpack easy.    Unpacking was quick and we are settling in.

Was the wine a gift from a staff member, or did you swap out the Champaign/Sparkling Wine for that?

The wine was just there, not sure who it was from.   Iain generally doesn't like the sparkling wine and usually has it swapped for Chardonnay.    We asked Chetan to exchange it for Chardonnay and by the time we were back from lunch it was swapped.

During lunch we watched the safety Video on the app so we could check in with our Muster Station.   Took about 1 minute.

Then a Cappuccino at al Bacio

Jim & Lain ,

Thank you for all the time you take sharing your trips with us. DH & I were on the Summit a few weeks ago & got goose bumps seeing these photos! We actually added a 4 night sailing on the Millennium for February in a Concierge SV cabin. We have never been in an SV cabin & looking forward to trying it after our Reflection sailing end of November. Looks like you are in a starboard side cabin , presumably on deck 11? Just curious- do you not like the SV cabins?

Have a fabulous time! Enjoy every moment!

Never had a SV.  Every time we had one we were upgraded.  We are on deck 9 and it seems nice.

Jim, you are my hero.  Thanks for the pictures.  We have never been on the Millennium and your pictures are great.  We board on October 27 when you get off.

I think you will like her.   She is looking good and the staff already are very engaging.

Just noticed the card.  Hmmm how did I miss that.    It says compliments of Hotel Director.

Thanks, surprising since the sparkling wine wasn't there also.  We try to swap it out for something else also and I wondered it that was the Cabernet they exchanged it with and if it was part of your pre-board profile.  Appreciate the follow-up and enjoy your trip!

We wondered the same.  I don’t drink and Iain said he didn’t know why as he doesn’t drink reds.

The Chardonnay was there when we got back.

You should really enjoy.   The crew are excited about getting to warmer and dryer temperatures.  They said Alaska has been wet and cold for them .

Jim:  I am also following along.

When we boarded the Millennium on September 17th for our B2B that was the first time we had been on her since we were on that famous Vancouver to Yokohama TP followed by the cruise around Japan.  For those who don't realize what I am referring to -- the itinerary was impacted not by one typhoon but by two.   We met Jim and Iain on those cruises.  In any event, it was stunning to see the changes to the ship.  Some areas are very familiar, others different.

I had to laugh at the photo of the new Alaska Air water containers.  They made that change during the pandemic.  Wine is now served in little cans instead of opening bottles and pouring by the glass.  When we flew down to Seattle we were already seated in our first class seats as the main cabin was loading.  A little girl asked her mom why everyone was drinking milk.  They certainly look like school milk cartons.

And our black seapass cards also weren't outside out door when we boarded.  Actually no seapass cards.  Had to retrieve them from the Retreat Lounge.

Chetan was our cabin attendant back in June!  He did a great job!

Are those USB ports at the base of the bedside lamp?

I think I prefer the M class version, which wasn’t available on the refurbished Silhouette.

yes.   Two on the lamp and 2 120v sockets for those that need ones by the bed.

I agree.  I like the M-Class ones better.

They originally gave us Aqua cards also but the CC Host brought us new Zenith ones and apologized.  No biggy.

they also brought us the Retreat Robes.

I just noticed they swapped out the bathroom amenities.   I like them more than the Bigelow products
