Or an alternative option should be available They should too. There are usually just as few (if any) on the cruises I've been on who aren't already in a suite. Especially for the priority tenders, disembarkation, etc. and restaurant reservations.
fstuff1 Posted October 27, 2021 Author #29 Share Posted October 27, 2021 I'm on the summit 4 day. Asked in the Retreat lounge. Sapphire and above still not allowed. And unlike my silloutte 9 day, no $100 obc for our inconvenience ☹️
wrk2cruise Posted October 27, 2021 #30 Share Posted October 27, 2021 I don't think they are going to yield on this until they are back to 100% booking.

I think you are correct. X is sailing with most, if not all Suites booked. I can confirm, from personal experience when we were booked in a Suite on the Edge in July, that the Retreat lounge was packed every single day. Though all Suite guests paid for access and expected to enjoy the lounge, many would arrive to find no seating available. Part of the problem is that the Retreat lounges were not built large enough to accommodate the majority of the Suite guests to begin with, let alone any Zenith members. I don’t see how this can be corrected on current ships, but hopefully has been on Beyond and the next E class new build.
WonderMan3 Posted October 28, 2021 #32 Share Posted October 28, 2021 What is so fascinating about the Retreat Lounge? I mean it's a nice space, especially if you are on Edge class, but there are so many other more interesting spaces on these ships beyond this lounge. On my cruises the only times I have spent there are on embark day usually to coordinate some things with the concierge and on debark day for the escorted disembarkation. I really get the feeling that it weighs more importance to people now that it has been taken away as a benefit kind of like how people went crazy over the Sky Lounge (which I always found empty on my cruises save for the Elite parties) being missing from Edge class or the Solstice Deck (which I always found empty save for my one Reflection cruise) being turned into the Retreat sundeck. Alakegirl Posted October 28, 2021 #33 Share Posted October 28, 2021 Access to the concierge is important, and now has been taken away from those loyal gamblers and long-time cruisers.

mn1111 Posted November 2, 2021 #35 Share Posted November 2, 2021 I usually book suites so it doesn't affect me personally but if it did, it isn't a perk that would ensure my loyalty. For them to get me to book in the short term depends on the discount I get for a suite upgrade and for them to earn my continual play in the long term depends on the table rules and how fair of a gamble they give us. Right now I am only playing craps or the european roulette wheel onboard which at least offers the same odds (and in the case of roulette even better) as land based casinos. For them to get my blackjack play, they need to offer surrender and stop hitting on a soft 17 (at the very minimum). No amount of free drinks or concierge perks would ever entice me to play with their horrible BJ rules. For the amount of money I put on the table, I'd rather buy my own drinks and have better table odds. I don't mind losing, but I don't want to feel like I am being ripped off either. Any one who plays fairly heavy has a lot of options for comped vacations and cruising is just one of them. Now if I could just stay off those slot machines when the crap table is closed, I would actually come out ahead once in a while!
