Bring back the fishes!!

Fresh off the Breakaway...

When we started cruising (about 20 years ago), one of my favorite things on the (Norwegian) ships was the carpet with the fishes!!  The little fishes were always swimming toward the front of the ship, so you always knew which direction you were walking.  I saw no fish on Breakaway....and a few times, they would have come in handy....

NCL....PLEASE...bring back the fishes....I think it would be great if NCL would have fishes here and there on the ship, not necessarily in the carpet, but on walls, near elevators etc....it's so easy to get turned around on these big ships.... 🙂

I am on the  Epic now, and we have the fishes on the hallway carpet.  The one thing we don’t have is the occasional red fish swimming upstream.

The corridor to my cabin has tiny fishies but there don't seem to be any in the main public areas, which is where they would help most. On the Breakaway.

Fishes are there, only in the corridors with guest rooms.  They were on the Escape and Getaway, I don't see how the Breakaway would not have them as they are all the same class and none of them have had a major refit.

I was on the Breakaway in Sep 2019 and the fish were on the carpet on our deck 11.

I’m on the Breakaway right now and the fish are definitely here.

I agree that the fish are awesome and very helpful. But I did a cabin crawl on my 10/3 Breakaway sailing and there were definitely fishes in every stateroom hallway.

No fishes in the Haven.....or any of the public areas we went....

 

I think NCL should have 'random fishes' like on the walls, near the elevators, fishes on the ceiling!!, etc...it could be their 'thing'...and also be very helpful 😉

Carnival fans would claim that the whale (whale tail) eats the NCL fish.

I mean, it's the Haven, your are at the top and the front, don't need a fish to figure that out.  LOL

We are just off the Breakaway and I said the same thing to my husband. I miss that little rebellious fish!

Actually Carnivals whale tails drew their inspiration from an old NCL ship.  Google the SS Norway (formerly SS France).

Actually not 100% accurate, the occasional fish (red) was swimming the wrong way.

BTW you do not need the fish.  Just look at the cabin numbers.  If they are decreasing you are moving to the front of the ship, if they are increasing you are moving towards the back.

We were on the Star in 2014 and the Dawn in 2015 and neither ship had the fish carpeting on our deck.

Epic didn't have the fishy carpeting until their recently completed drydock period.  Lost Epic cruisers rejoice.

Glad to see Getaway has them, grandson though old enough to find his way now always lead us to our cabin using the fish as his guide. This was one of many great memories on NCL with him.

We need to send a note to the person in charge!!

 

Dear NCL, we want fishes!!  Not just in the stateroom hallways, but randomly around the ship!!  Make it fun, make then hidden, make them part of the decor!! We need them in the common areas, outside the restaurants, bars, casino, etc.  They would be most helpful and fun! 🙂

Def have them on ba this week. Wish had them on oasis 2 weeks ago. Dang that's a big ship
