Yay for making it today. How long do you have... you originally would sail away this afternoon right? Can you stay the full day?

We are scheduled to sail at 4pm local time; all aboard is 3:30.  Iirc, an extra hour.

It’s a beautiful day here. We’ve been here before, so we did a tour to the Caves and the Aquarium, with a great guide narrating the entire drive. We really enjoyed ourselves. (We know we could have taken public transportation, but there was no time for that today.)

$300 of non refundable on board credit after the last port and without the possibility to spend it on a CruiseNext?

I guess all speciality restaurants are already  booked out, all bars and free shop are out of premium alcohol.

happy for you all!  thank you for posting your 'adventure' so we could vacation through  your posts . I am sure you all had a good day in bermuda. what was the general vibe on the ship? Were people upset?, going with the flow?,  or indifferent?. There is not much a passanger can do however everyone handles change differently.

Does the fact that the ramp is still down and there are staff waiting there indicate that the ship knows there are passengers still "out there" someplace?

GC

Ramp is up, doors are closed lines are coming in. Looks like everyone made it. They were blowing the horn a few times

They announced 10 names, then 3. Those 3 showed up at about 3:50. A man was first. He seemed to be enjoying the catcalls. He was recording the whole thing on his phone. Then the 2 women came up behind him and were dropped off from cab. Looks like they had been at the beach. We were underway at about 4:10. The horns you heard blowing were the 4PM ferry departing. I don’t think we blew our horn. By the way, our phone rang at about 3:40. They were looking for my wife, who has been back onboard for hours. But something must have gone wrong when she did the facial recognition coming back onboard.

While it was nice of NCL to give us the OBC, it can’t be used to pay the DSC (I just checked), so it’s pretty useless on the eve of the very last day of a cruise on which lots of folks have a beverage package and a dining package. It’s close to an empty gesture.

Grats eat up my 150 thankfully

Guest Services says the OBC can’t be used in the casino or for the DSC

I think the vibe was pretty good and people were going with the flow.  Minor exceptions that I personally experienced:  the one guy in the elevator the other day who was annoyed that we hadn’t gone to Charleston (as if), and another in the elevator this morning who said it was “shameful” that we were docking at all today!  He didn’t think you could do anything in the time we had. (Wrong!)

Can it be used for excursions and cans of soda and full price drinks  alcohol. If so then we easily have 150 each of those lol. Thankfully we did an excursion today. Also what about  deal no deal

Confirmed I'm good. Really helps with final bill. Found out all arcade type games don't count.

I read this somewhere on CC (maybe you posted) and not sure I understand the CN part.  I've always bought CN and the "OBC" I've used to apply back to the purchase.  So I never noticed if it is non-refundable or refundable credit.  Someone alluded to some change?  Do you mean you can't walk up to CN and apply your $300 to say 2 cruise vouchers at $500?

@luckyinpasaid Guest Services says this credit cannot be used in the casino?  Has anyone tried?  I've used OBC in the casino.  And some have reported here that after gambling a bit they just cashed out (wish I had that kind of control!)

Go to Velvet if it's available tonight?  That's an additional charge on SDP.

There's a chance they've been working behind the scenes with shoreside and by the time they came up with their offer it was pretty darn late in the situation.  Has anyone contacted the GM or senior officer (numbers given at CC meeting) to explain the limited options especially as @Turtles06points out, so many have the beverage and dining packages.

Unless you're into hot stones or an expensive trinket in the shop, what does it really leave?  Not to be confrontational but I would ask for some clarification especially this late into the cruise.

Yeah I am sitting across some gift services now and I've actually gone up at least 3 times asking about all sorts of different things. Basically I'm going to eat at the American diner tomorrow and get a photo frame. I won a free photo and deal or no deal. But basically anything that's an arcade game or casino game will not count. You can also order room service that is $10 that will help. And I don't have any drink packages so buying cans of soda ads up and who knows maybe I'll actually have some bottles of beer. I'm not driving lol. One thing I did not account for is by $50 shore credit so must burn it

I checked the Italian restaurant and it is fully open tonight and tomorrow so at least that is something for some people. Also front desk moved over my gfs charges to mine to eat up my credit. So that's service

Duty-free liquor to take home since you're not flying?  They usually get in a small order of Goslings rum in Bermuda and that goes pretty fast.

lol you have the photo and now need the frame.  Actually, nice idea.

Will they have Deal or no Deal tomorrow?

Maybe go to the last day of Bingo even if you haven't been all week if they're still doing the free cruise giveaway or cash jackpot?  They also sell tickets just for the last coverall game so some guests jump in just for that.

Splurge on lobster surcharge at Le Bistro - ($10 surcharge over SDP) or in Ocean Blue (considerably higher surcharge) or oysters at the Raw Bar?

If you've burned through SDP, teppanyaki has a set $39 pp charge and is enjoyable with usually delicious food.  Some also like Moderno (same price I think).  My personal choice is Teppanyaki, never a disappointment.

Or Velvet for a dinner show.  On 11/7 Breakaway I'm going to book it due to rave reviews here about the quality of the vocals and the aerials, done in the Spiegel tent.  $29.95/pp.  All these prices do not include the mandatory 20% gratuity that will be added.

With new rules & restrictions on using/not ... those non-refundable OBC or lose them - blah !!  DW never had enough "credits" shopping onboard at duty-frees, unless they plainly run out of nearly everything ... not just cigarettes & liquor (subject to US Customs regs & taxable if above the allowance, etc.)  and use them for cosmetics.  Or, stock up on those t-shirts and all the gift shop "specials" - always managed to use it all up 😝

Weatherwise - looks like seas and swells are easing overnight for the return to NY, getting a good & strong tailwind and that should help on rushing the BA back into NY's harbor by early Sunday morning ... with all engines running, maybe a little choppy at times.
