Hawaii from San Francisco in mid March

Of course approaching Vancouver in May would be hitting cold water - the California coast never seems warm anywhere north of Los Angeles any time of year.  We sailed RT from San Diego to Hawaii in February and had ideal cruising weather both ways.

I considered that the air temperature would be cold. We enjoyed our day in Vancouver and it was pleasant. What I did not fully realize is just how cold the wind would be when the ship was moving. We still had a good time. Luckily the cruise line scheduled many indoor activities over the sea days.
