Why did RCCL give me all these obc's???

I logged into the Cruise Planner on one of my booked cruises, and it had a $100 obc. I checked the rest of my cruises, and 3@ $25 showed up, too?  I check my TA's invoices: nope, no obc's.  Is it part of the refunds they owe me?  Are they having some kind of "if you are sailing between 1/1/22 and 6/1/22 you get obc" promo?

 

Any ideas?

I received a $100 for an upcoming cruise.  Can't figure it out.   Have other cruises booked but no extra OBC.  

 

We sail in a few weeks, we'll see if it shows up in my account.

Lock it in by buying something on Cruise Planner before they take it away!

The $25 ones are "pre-cruise" only, so I guess I'll have several specialty dinners partially on them!

The Terms and Conditions on the $100 one says if your don't use it in the Cruise Planner it will be on your ship account but must be used by the end of the trip.   Nice gift for Royal.

The only way you benefit from a price drop is to ask for it, they don’t just give it to you.

When you click on the planner it shows up there.

Not only does it show up immediately, it pretty much hits you in the eyeballs!!!

I got a random $50/price drop in October and I didn't call. And my TA never mentioned anything.  Just a thought.

Maybe the OBC is because they feel bad that you are still required to get a pre-cruise Covid test. 🙂

Pretty sure those are mine and RCI just goofed. But it’s too much trouble to try and fix, so just keep and enjoy. If you get a tasty beverage with the OBC, give a toast to me. And maybe pick me up one of those RCI beach towels. 
 

PS - Can OBC be used to buy beach towels and stuff?

Yes, so long as it is used by the end of the cruise it seems to be fair game for anything, even 10 of the $10 t-shirts.    However, I vote for the casino.

I have six cruises booked, and received $25 for just one of them.  Not turning it down, but not overwhelmed with joy.

I had a random extra $50 in my account when I boarded. No idea why. TA didn’t know. I didn’t bother GS with it.
