Casino deal and booking Cheers?

Hi everyone, I've started getting casino deals, which include "drinks on us" while playing in the casino. I honestly don't spend that much time in the casino, maybe an hour each night if that. I'm thinking about booking a casino offer that includes drinks while playing, but also buying Cheers since I'll be spending more time on deck, the alchemy bar, etc than in the casino. Is this a dumb thing to do or reasonable? I mostly just need a sanity check.

Why would you want drinks on us when you can get drinks in the casino with the cheers package?

The DOU comes with many casino booking offers but since it is in the casino only, it doesn't work in the other venues or in the dining room.

The "drinks on us" is automatically included in the casino offer, so nothing extra I'm paying for. The cheers would give me more flexibility in other areas of the ship.

Not dumb at all. You mentioned that you weren't exactly a casino p1, so I'd say get the cheers.

Curious though if booking with the drinks on us would have an effect on cheers?

Still have a limit of (combined) of 15 alcohol drinks per day but CHEERS gets you the fancy coffees/teas also

Some in my family always get CHEERS even though they get free drinks in casino - and we spend alot of time in the casino.  Sometimes the bar waiters in the casino get slammed - especially since so many people are getting the DOU deals.  It's nice to be able to go over to the casino bar and order yourself rather than having to wait for 15 minutes to get your drink and having to either stay where you were when you ordered or run down the waiter to get your drink if you've moved.

As well as getting the unique drinks at Red Frog, Alchemy,   Comedy Club, etc

Yes this!!!  Sometimes casino servers are just not available because there aren't enough of them and in a busy casino you have to wait too long.  Nothing like spending $100 dollars on a cold slot while you are waiting for your "free" drink.  Also, since the OP doesn't spend a lot of time in the casino, the flexibility of ordering where you are is a plus.

We find it  quite   interesting  that Carnival cruise lines may provide  alcoholic drinks with a  casino rate  when gambling in their casino   . Where as  Las Vegas casinos encourage drinking while gambling to loosen up the gambler  to play more  . Basically ,the booze costs are nearly the same in both cases

We book the Casino rate to get a better rate  . For me ,i only play craps & or Texas Holdem  ;but never those computerized slots
