I just asked my agent about the cruise with confidence program in Australia.

Thats where ,if the price drops Royal will match the lower price.

Unfortunately it’s no longer in Australia, the closest is the refundable deposit.

Back to the bad old days.

You might want to check that again. I've just spoken to someone who got a $1300 reduction on their cruise. Booked directly with RCI.

OK ,that’s interesting ,was it an old booking? This is a new booking.

My agent is one of the biggest cruise specialists in Australia,it might be via RCI only . I might call Royal Caribbean.

10 December 2025 is the repositioning in Yorkeys Knob.

They must still plan to bring Voyager through the Suez Canal.
I thought they might bring it around the bottom of Africa and straight to Perth.

We should find out in a few weeks.

I called Royal Caribbean and it sounded like he was overseas somewhere. He said they still have price protection. I asked ,is that in Australia and he got a bit vague and said yes.

I had a bit of a scratch around on the internet and this what I found.
It looks to me it’s within a couple of days of booking only,a cooling off period.

I found this in the Aus terms and conditions, looks like it doesn’t include TA rates. I can understand that as it would reduce their commission.IMG_0172.thumb.png.bde0e48eff91c2309b2bdf36a98fa820.png

So if I book with a TA and get the same price or lower than if I booked direct, then how does the TA make a profit if there is no commission. I always book direct so have no knowledge of TA systems.

The reference to the price drop not applying to T/A rates is referring to T/As booking their own personal fares with special industry pricing that is made available to them on selected undersold itineraries. They make no commission for booking their own mates rates fare.

If you book through a T/A they will get commission. If you apply for a price drop, they still keep that commission. It is the cruise line that makes less profit from the price drop

@springaussie

Nobody seems be asking where Voyager goes after Brisbane season.

The only place I can think is ,here year  round ,Dubai or a long shot would be Tokyo.

That’s a great question. I have been thinking about it Chilli.

Would going to Los Angeles be an option to replace Quantum while she goes to Alaska?
I can’t see Voyager staying in Oz during the Winter.

LA could be a possibility it’s getting pretty old though. I don’t think it would be very popular there or Singapore.

Well I hope they can fix it before we get on her next Saturday.....😟

It’s running on one engine, there’s going to be some unhappy people onboard.

I have friends onboard and it was a pretty good itinerary and all they got to see was lifou .

Yes we just got the email from RC. 100% refund and 50% FCC.          Not sure what we will do yet, as we are on the next cruise too.

Seeing you are in Perth, it certainly doesn’t compensate for the airfares I guess.
