sailor05 Posted December 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2021 When I am gambling, I am drinking, so what is the rule for this? Do I have to take down my mask to take a drink, OR as long as I have a drink I can not wear a mask? I also pretty much have a drink in hand MOST of the time I am out of my cabin. You have to be actively drinking to take off your mask, even if you are carrying a drink around the whole time,. So it’s mask off to take a swig, then mask back on until the next swig. 2
Auntiemomo Posted December 30, 2021 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2021 If you are observing social distancing, I doubt anyone will approach you to pull up your mask. At least it was that way on Harmony. Things may change with this new variant floating around and covid pos going up. 1

As long as you are actively drinking, and Gambling I doubt you will be asked to wear your mask. With the new variant it may depend on how crowded the casino gets, but I doubt they will bother you if your wagering a good amount. Money buys a lot of freedom...... I will update Saturday morning as I'm sailing away Tomorrow.....
Rare Lionesss Posted December 30, 2021 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) When we sailed in October on the Symphony all the slot machines were available for play, and all the table games had all the chairs open. No official social distancing. Some not all guest wore masks. They were optional. Safe travels. Edited December 30, 2021 by Lionesss
Rare island lady Posted December 30, 2021 #7 Share Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) You have to be seated...and actively drinking. The ship is very specific that you can't just wander around with a drink in your hand, sans mask. This is something you may want to check out...available for sale on many websites, but more a novelty I think...not sure if it is actually allowed. 😉 Edited December 30, 2021 by island lady
cruisegirl1 Posted December 30, 2021 #8 Share Posted December 30, 2021 Protocols in the casino have changed in the past week. Masking is required and enforced. And, no more smoking in the casino. Just holding a drink is no longer a reason not to wear a mask. M 3

Protocols in the casino have completely changed this month due to increased transmission of the Omicron variant. An October experience is no longer a reliable data point for what to expect in the foreseeable future.
