Awesome review, following along. Supposed to be going to Aruba on my Horizon cruise in February. How easy was it to find a taxi to and from the beach?

It actually started when the SEC nabbed Arkansas from the SWC a couple of years earlier.  Those first expansions and mergers were needed IMHO.  The 12 team conferences with the beginnings of conference title games were awesome.  The BCS was the best and most exciting format we've had, and just before they went to the playoff system, they finally had the BCS formula down pat.

 

The conference championships and BCS to determine a true champion made college football better without destroying too many of the traditional aspects.  The current expansions, and even the addition of the playoffs (and future expansion) are pure money grabs and have not improved the sport or fan experience overall.  Throw in the transfer portal and NIL, and college football as we know and love no longer even exists.

 

Sorry for the hijack.  I'll get off my soapbox now and we can return to our regularly scheduled program.

Taxis have always been lined up at the port in the past. If you are speaking of returning from Eagle Beach, it varies, although there are hotels in the area where you can also look.

Maybe it's just a Cruise Critic issue... She's posted pictures from Bonaire somewhere else... Bonaire does look pretty nice:)

So about last night… I hit 15 again and wow…

Just got back onboard and ordered more sushi. Bang bang bonsai. Want to eat on Bonaire, but almost everything was closed. Super weird. And if they were open, only for cocktails, no kitchen.

Let me catch you up on the day… got up a little later than planned. Stumbled to liquid iv. Last night was a blur. Champagne, shots, shenanigans that have to stay on the cruise lol. 
I finally started feeling better about 8:30, had a breakfast burrito and headed out to Bonaire. The plan was to take the water taxi to Klein Bonaire to snorkel, but that seemed like a lot of work, so we walked around first.

Finally decided to take a taxi driver up on his offer to go to some beaches. $40… 2 beaches, let’s go. First, far side of the islands “sandy beach” conch everywhere but it was definitely not for swimming , everyone was surfing or wind sailing. But it was gorgeous.

Surf shop and lessons available… and a bar/restaurant, where I got WATER. I was still hurting.

Spent about an hour there and got back into the taxi… caught a traffic jam of JAs… and saw flamingos.

Next beach is where they start the water taxi over to Klein… gorgeous. Very rocky but with water shoes, it was great and SO many fish. Beautiful water

The taxi dropped us at the “beach club” but we went off to the side where they are building timeshares. Only one other lady even in the area. Snorkeled for about 3 hours and then headed to the beach club for a cocktail and better wifi signal. They have a pool and chairs and a $5 cover and have really terrible service. Lots of tours stop there apparently.

I vaguely remember running into you last night. You were dressed as a dragon and being escorted by 2 very handsome men. I told you I had 2 drinks to flatten the curve at Alchemy and the last 1 had absinthe. Out go the lights

I was getting hungry about that point, so the plan  was to walk back to the ship and grab street food on the way or stop at a local restaurant and eat. 
Leaving, this guy was supervising the construction.
