Well this wasn't the plan

We have only cruised Carnival 3 times. I like to play slots but haven't spent much time in the casinos because of the smoke. On our Oct cruise due to wearing a mask and the addition of a non smoking extra casino on the Dream I was able to play.

My thinking was if I played maybe I would get a future cruise offer. Today my husband aka he who hardly/barely gambles gets a casino offer. $25 balcony,  with drinks in the casino for two available on select 4&5 day sailings in Feb and March.

We already have a Panorama cruise next month plus leaving for a short Vegas trip on Friday. There's no way to fit in another trip with these 2 already pending, I tried booooo.

Why oh why didn't I get the offer? I have twice as much vacation time as he does. I could have cruised with a family member.

So going forward to next cruise hoping to get more offers should he continue to stay out of the casino or gamble some? Should I stay out of the casino? Gamble more? I played $200 of my money over 8 days and that was on the last 2 nights, machines were paying until then.

I gambled alot on my NYE cruise.

I got an offer as the cruise was over and have kept checking.

I noticed today the same awesome offer.

As others have mentioned on here the offers make no sense whatsoever.

But cruising for almost free is totally worth it 🙂

I think they are happy to get anyone onboard at any price in the the next 2 months in hopes that they spend more once on the ship. Once Omicron cases drop, look for the super cheap offers to disappear as well.

This! Those that don't really mind the risk or don't care about covid in general, should be capitalizing on this opportunity. Buy when there is blood in the streets! This could be the opportunity of a lifetime for some folks to cruise over and over on the cheap. When things calm down and normalcy returns, expect much higher prices.

Hi

I don't think there is any specific method for getting these offers. I haven't sailed with Carnival since 2019  and I am getting the "free" and other significantly discounted cruise offers (last year and for now). I think even though these cruises are happening, the cruise lines are struggling to fill the ships as they would hope.

For myself, it has become difficult (to the point where I think it not worth the trouble) to plan a cruise (even if it is free). I am sure I am not alone. I live in Canada and I don't think it's worth the effort to go into the states for a cruise. I can't imagine very many people making the effort from further away. The problem in my mind is that it has become very difficult to plan. I don't know with any certainty what is going to happen next month in terms of changing rules, so it makes the "planning" impossible. I did have two cruises booked and they were cancelled by the cruise line and I think it was probably for the best. If I were living in the states, I would be looking at last minute travel. Not having that choice I will only consider last minute A.I. trips for this winter.

Just keep looking and you might get one of those special offers. You could always speak with one of their PVP and see if they can help you out.

good luck

Do I need to sign up for a separate players card or do I use my sign n sail card?

No. You just play with your S&S card, but you don't even need to play, as some offers are made to people who don't even gamble.

Following your link, I see absolutely no where to "sign up" .  Please explain how to do this.

I clicked the Contact Us link, and at the bottom of the screen is a 'request casino offer'.  From a web search, it looks like registration is automatic the first time you play in the casino.

Not sure if this is a coincidence,  we did a vegas trip mid December, and signed  up for both mgm rewards and mgm sports book.. had a great time in Vegas.. two weeks later I’m inundated with ccl 25 balcony , drinks offers and another email from someone / org I didn’t recognize  giving free cruises ?  Wondering if they are buying names .. I used to get casino offers from carnival but it’s been years since I have been on one

I spent $120 total on small slots only, in the casino on the Magic in October. I had never used the casino on previous cruises and never “signed up” for the casino club, and I have received more than one $25 / DOU offer since then. I am definitely not their ideal marketing demographic. I was sad to not be able to take advantage while I still had the offers!
