No surprise there... RCCL makes money at Coco Cay, not so much in Nassau.

No it’s not. We’ve been to Nassau before, so looking forward to Coco Cay. From what I’m seeing it looks like Royal’s ships are able to make most of their ports now. So happy to be cruising again!

Our April stop in Nassau also was changed to CC.  The reason is that Nassau is currently under construction and there aren't enough berths for all the ships scheduled.  Our Charleston stop got moved due to scheduling conflicts so when that happened, it changed our Nassau date which caused a conflict there.  Not everything is about money.

Looks like we might be going to Coco Cay instead of Nassau if new itinerary showing is correct. The excursions are not showing yet, still showing Nassau excursions. Has any one done the Coco Bay Beach Club and is it worth it in your opinion?

Nassau has a lot of heavy construction right now. The availability of any dock varies from week to week based on the construction.

In the photo below, they have scraped away the dirt and rock to have a small path from the gangway back to the main dock. All of the heavy equipment and jack hammers were running, kicking up dust and rocks while folks were on the path.

In the photo below, you can see where the old Festival Place has been demolished and the old horse stalls are now filled with construction trailers.

We went to the Coco Beach Club on two cruises last year. In my opinion, it is not worth the money for most folks. For us, who are mobility challenged, having the beach, pool and restaurants within a few feet of each other and good bar service on the beach is why we book there. We can also catch a cart from the gangway all the way to the entrance to the club (and back to the ship).

Looks wonderful!  If we were going with our adult children and grandchildren we probably wouldn’t do this, but since it’s just my husband and I this go round, you’re pictures just cinched the deal lol!!

Right now it's much better to do Coco Cay than Nassau.  When we were there in November hardly anything was open in Nassau.  And we had all of Chill Island beach to ourselves.  There were only 6 of us on the entire beach!  Not sure if it will be that way for you, but it sure was nice for us.

Pretty much everything was open in Nassau last week and that was with us even being there on a Sunday.

Regarding the beach club, the food looks nice as does the pool but it is currently priced for 2 people on my sailing on the Symphony in 3 weeks at $395.  Unless I had $400 OBC to burn, I just can't justify it especially when we will probably be in the ocean most of the day.

Actually, we do have $312 onboard credit left of our $750 B of A RCCL money we originally applied to final payment that we got back from a 2020 cancelled cruise!  I’ve used the other portion on our other port excursions I reserved, so this will be splurge that will be worth it to us. I love lobster, so I’ll just get my money’s worth 🦞🦞
