Using OBC in casino

Not from my experience.  If it is non refundable OBC, you have to make bets totally the NRD OBC amount.  I went to the cage and obtained a credit of the NRD OBC amount, made bets totally that amount, kept all pushes and wins, and then cashed out. (Played video poker).

You can do as you suggest as long as the OBC is the refundable type.

The best way is to check it out for yourself the next time you're on a cruise. Maybe just use $5 of your nonrefundable OBC. Chances are, as some folks have said, Celebrity has "plugged" this loophole. But there is only one way to know for sure. Give it a try.

1. Put your seapass card in the slot machine.  Your pin is your birth month and day.

2. Go to “personal banker”, then “transfer funds”, then “room charge”.

3. Input amount of OBC.

4. You will see this amount appear on the slot machine.

5. Press cash out, collect ticket, bring to cashier.

You cannot do that on reflection. Whatever OBC you transferred to the slot machine must be played out. You can then keep whatever you win. It could be different on different ships however.

You could on Apex in Nov/Dec 2021.

Even if you could just cash it out, I would have a hard time not playing a few hands of Video Poker if I was sitting in front of a machine with credits showing.  That is probably just me, addicted gambler that I am and probably what Celebrity expects from most people.  I can't wait to launder some OBC on the Reflection next week.

It varies from ship to ship.  Ask in the casino

Watch the daily paper or ask a casino supervisor if there are any specials scheduled.   On our cruise in Nov they offered 15% bonus for Black Fri.   On another day it was 10% for SBC  converted or buy in for play In increments of $100

Some things to consider.

Using SBC doesn’t count toward casino points.

They also have different promos at night giving out tickets to players for a drawing.

if you are interested in converting the SBC into real money you need to keep track of play and cash out winnings.   If you don’t do this  you will start to play with the money you won.  Cash out after a few times of play to collect the slips and then when done insert them all back into the machine and then cash out so you have one slip to turn in.   The cashier may do this but some don’t like to especially when there is a line.

They do provide free drinks while playing.   Good if you don’t have a drink pack and want a drink

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I was on Solstice 3 weeks ago. I was able to use non refundable OBC to purchase slot vouchers. They had $50 and $100 vouchers. You didn’t have to spin at all, I could have put a voucher in a machine, cash out immediately and cash it in. Everything I did play earned casino points the same as had I put cash in the slot.

Same exact situation on our 12/03 Solstice sailing.
