Does Splendor have a library? Is it open now?

On March 6 Splendor and wondering if there is an open library or do I need to pack lots of paper backs.

I thought Splendor's library was fabulous.  I posted a couple of photos in my blogpost when we were on board last November.

Was on first Splendor sailing in 02/20; spent a lot of time in the library using the reference books and the 2 computers (no printer). It is fabulous - much bigger even than the one on Explorer! Didn't see any paperbacks but LOTS of hardcovers. Funny, but on the first sailing they had 3 copies of many of the reference books?

Splendor has a very nice library and it does have some paperbacks although most are hardback. I think the two computers in the back are a secret. We have used them and taken books out on this cruise.

We didn't find the library until day 3 of our cruise....then used it everyday after!  It is quiet, comfortable, and LOTS of books of all types (mostly hardback, but you can check them out).  We would go after breakfast to sit and read for a little while and work the daily SODUKO puzzles.  Enjoy!

The library is aesthetically beautiful.  It is next door to the Culinary Center.  The books are both current and classics, on a wide variety of subjects.  It is much easier to borrow a book from the library, than carry a hardcover book in your luggage.

On the older ships, there was a table in the library for people to drop off a used paperback and maybe pick one up that they hadn't read.  They also had amazing libraries; it's great to find books you want to read and be able to take them until you finish.

This maybe impacted by COVID, but mid morning on sea days,  DH enjoyed going to the library to read several of the newspapers they have in the library, updated daily.

No newspapers now.

I believe you can read newspapers online using the computers in the library.
