Need ride from airport to hotel any suggestions ??

Personally, having had bad experiences one would not use a Barcelona Airport Taxi (Dick Turpins with a sickly smile).  Contact the Concierge at your hotel to arrange a private car from one of their trusted people, much more civilised and no angst.

We stayed at Jazz Hotel, which I would absolutely  do again. Walked out of terminal to taxi ramp. Longish line but moved very quickly. There were workers directing  people to lined up cabs. We were asked how many people we were.....directed to cab. Great driver.  No issues.

We are staying at Jazz in Oct , 4 days before a transatlantic on Jewel of the Seas.  Would you remember what a cab cost from airport?

Pre COVID the Central Hotel Concierge arranged a private pickup for €60.00 - Think this price should be the about the same for the Jaz.

We booked using Welcome Pickups after reading about them on here and other travel websites. Their website is https://www.welcomepickups.com/barcelona/.  You book in advance and our driver was waiting for us when we got there. I was a little nervous bc our flight coming in was delayed but I notified them as soon as I knew it was delayed.  They use the whatsapp to contact you upon arrival.  Our trip was in 2019 and we paid 36 euro from the airport to our hotel Arc La Rambla.  Of course we also tipped the driver as well.  We also booked them in Portugal to get to the airport.  Had no complaints.

We stayed at the Jazz in October  2019. Roughly 35 euros from airport to hotel. And the lovely  driver kept apologizing  because there were  demonstrations going on all over the city and he had to maneuver  around  them.  When leaving the hotel, we asked at the front desk if they could get us a cab to the port. Young man walked outside and a moment  later we had a cab.  We also ordered a case of wine for our cruise and it was delivered  to the hotel while we were out for the day. No problems.

New to Europe, so excuse the ignorance, but will the cabs there take credit cards? Or should I get some Euros in the ATM at the airport?

Have your Hotel’s Concierge arrange your car from the airport.  No hassle, no angst.  After all, it’s just one of the services of a Concierge.  The Hotel will usually place the fee on your Hotel account.

There are literally hundreds of metered cabs at the airport.  It’s a flat fare to the city - please don’t spend  €60 on a fare that costs €40.

By the time you’ve walked round trying to find your driver, you could be in a cab 🚕 and on your way!!!

The Hotel car (usually a Limo) driver will be just outside your flight arrival terminal holding a named sign.   No Q at the public cab rank.  Just one’s preference for a better way to travel.
The €60.00 was for a Limo booked with the Central, other hotels could be closer to €40.00
