Rare PacnGoNow Posted March 8, 2022 #151 Share Posted March 8, 2022 Could someone check if we can order a small bottle 375ml once inboard for our room, through room service? I appreciate it! Thanks

I assume Dazzles still has a live band most nights? Karaoke was at Dazzles when we sailed Allure last September. That was new for me also (vs On Air Club). Don't know if that's a permanent or temporary change. I'm not a fan of Dazzles for anything. Too long and skinny. Using that space for Music Hall on Wonder should be a nice improvement.

If so they got rid of Negra Modelo as an offering which is a bummer. Hopefully someone onboard Allure could ask at Sabor just to confirm. It is possible it just isn’t listed on the app. I've found that the beer they have onboard doesn't match well with what's on the menu...especially draft beer. And it could change bar to bar and week to week based on what's available. Negra is my standard beer when eating mexican food.

joand452 Posted March 8, 2022 #157 Share Posted March 8, 2022 Love the Iced Tea cocktails. What's in the Boston? We have the beverage package on our upcoming X cruise (followed closely by Harmony), so I'm keeping a list of drinks I want to try. Did they "charge" you for each shot of liquor? That happened to me when I ordered a Long Island one time on a cruise. 😖
ariesgirl384 Posted March 8, 2022 #158 Share Posted March 8, 2022 (edited) Can anyone currently on the cruise list any bourbons they have in the bars? Going in a few weeks and my hubby is a bourbon drinker. Thanks! Edited March 8, 2022 by ariesgirl384 spelling error

I wonder why they discontinued Modelo. Both types are seemingly very popular.

I have checked the app but recent reports across the fleet have stated a lack of bourbon. So I was hoping someone actually on the ship could see what the allure had in stock. All that could change in 2 weeks of course but figured it would be worth asking.

Royal's entire beer game has been severely lacking for a while. I can't understand why they've been so late to the craft beer game. It's usually very hard/impossible to find an IPA anywhere onboard, outside of Playmaker's.
mo&fran Posted March 8, 2022 #164 Share Posted March 8, 2022 I think these issues of a lack of a particular liquor product is because RCCL cannot get it delivered. I do not believe the shortage is a decision on their part, 1

And I must admit, it is difficult to type on the phone tonight after 3. 2
Rare h20skibum Posted March 9, 2022 Author #168 Share Posted March 9, 2022 Thanks to everyone answering today, but after this. plus one caribe, one Bloody Mary, one wine, 3 Boston ice teas, and a rum and coke, it has been a tiring day. Forgive any spelling or garbled sentences that follow. 6

Craft beer sampling is a recipe for some serious hangovers so I’m ok with the many European beers in the pub. I am a beer lover and like a wide range of beers. But I still struggle to enjoy IPAs. I just don’t get the attraction. All the same, I agree, they are behind because the market is craft oriented.

Rare h20skibum Posted March 9, 2022 Author #171 Share Posted March 9, 2022 Picking up where I left off, after my sunrise photo this morning, we did 6 miles on the track and had a quick breakfast at WJ. It has, at times, been a little disappointing. If we hadn’t been rushed with our plans for the day, I probably would have gone to the dining room. Rare h20skibum Posted March 9, 2022 Author #172 Share Posted March 9, 2022 I too struggle with the IPA’s The Grolsch is my favorite at the pub, but I have yet to order one. Still working my way through Greg’s list, plus a few I added.
Rare h20skibum Posted March 9, 2022 Author #173 Share Posted March 9, 2022 Allure docked at Crown Bay, so we decided to walk in town to havensight. It wasn’t a bad walk ( about 40 minutes), but I forgot both a hat and sunscreen. A few pictures along the way. Does every port have the guy on stilts? Sometimes it seems that way. The iguanas were out. in case anyone wants to know gas prices here, this is it. We found that there was a funeral home at each end of this cemetery. I guess they don’t have to go far. And finally we get a glimpse of town.
Rare h20skibum Posted March 9, 2022 Author #174 Share Posted March 9, 2022 There were a few interesting photo ops at havensight. The giant chair. The airplane. My thirst quencher And my dream of living on a boat like some of these.
Rare h20skibum Posted March 9, 2022 Author #175 Share Posted March 9, 2022 We had an afternoon excursion, so we walked back to Crown Bay, baking in the sun. The iguanas were out in full force.
