I was going to bring a towel this morning to reserve my lifeboat space, because you have to do it at the pool, so why not here?

I can’t tell you how many times I have walked by these lifeboats, and tried to figure how they could jam 370 people in them.  I mean, have they been to the Wind Jammer and looked around?

I know my boat has a capacity plate that says X number of persons, or X weight including persons and gear.  When I do the math for it, it means the average person is 150 lb.   By that scale, there are a lot of “above average” people onboard.

The kids help save the day here.  My family of 5 is under 450 lbs combined.  This would offset 6 200lb adults.  Those that think young kids shouldn’t be on Royal cruises might change their tune if it helps keep their lifeboat afloat.  😂😂

Every cruise I look in those boats and think, my lord I hope I never have to cram into that bobber with 300+ strangers.

Need a favor, can you ask if they will be resuming the luggage valet service.

We use it when leaving and flying out the same day.

Thanks again.

Safe travels.

Will stop by the DL tonight, and see what they have to say.  There hasn’t been anything in the paperwork we had delivered for this cruise.

If it is the last day at sea, it is time to cram all those things you didn’t do this week into today.  So first up was ice skating.  The rink was not busy for the first session.  Only two or three others on the rink. Although neither of us had been on ice skates for about 15 years, it eventually came back to us.

That is my DW gliding along the far wall with the jacket on.

To skate, they want you in jeans or long pants, and of course, you have waivers to sign.

so, they are not doing that awful thing Harmony did where you had to line up at 9 am in a looooooong line to register for your N minute skating session later on in the day, and if you are not in that registration line, you can't skate even if they have only 3 people on the ice?

Not at all.  Just walk in, sign the waiver, put on the skates and helmet, and go.  No wait at all.

I remember when the rink use to be really crowded.

yeap, that's how it was in 2019 when we were on the Allure. We thought Harmony was going to be the same in 2021, but were very disappointed. Never got to skate because who has an hour to stay in a registration line? We have better things to do.

Would appreciate this info as well.  We'll be on the Allure in May.

Pickin up where I left off for our last day. We stopped to pick up our photos, and found we were back to the future again. We had gone to one of the kiosks so both of us could get a digital download.  This ship still prints every photo they have taken of you, and they are in a binder.

This seems like such a waste, but they haven’t gone digital here.  I wonder what they do with all the unsold ones?

That left returning towels (didn’t want a $25 towel fee assessed), and packing.

It seems they repeat night 1 menus on these 8 night sailings, so my go to was

escargot

We did a group photo with our table mates and wait staff and said our goodbyes

Family karaoke was going on after dinner at Dazzles.  I have to look at the schedule, because it must have been tone deaf night.

The entertainment in the theatre was Aaron Bonk, the juggler from Cleveland.  He was on Oasis when we sailed in January, so for us, it was a repeat of that act.

Balancing and juggling knives anyone?
