John Barron - Still Sailing?

Is CD John Barron still sailing?  I've seen other CDs mentioned but not John lately...

Unknown. This was discussed back in late December and we heard he was on vacation but...

I've not heard who will be on Voyager when she sails on the 26th, so maybe it will be him?

Based on information and belief, he has left the Regent family. Currently on Splendor, he is absent.

After seeing how emotional he became on his Christmas video, I wonder if perhaps being away from family finally took its toll. If so, understandable. 

 

Also....I have misplaced the card for the Regent Rep from the Cruise event here the other night, but think her name was Ina.....younger lady, tall with long blonde hair.

Heard when we were on Splendor that he is taking time off to spend more time with family.

This was discussed back in December - a hot rumor at the time. When he took down his FB CD page that kind of clinched it.

flossie009/Susan and David; will be on board the newest Silversea Ship, Silver Dawn for the naming ceremony/gala dinner next Thursday then the maiden voyage--embarking Friday--will found out if John is/has joined Silversea.  Would be a remarkable switch, like Jorge with dozens of years on Silversea now working on Regent.

But will be sailing again on another cruise line in May.

Found out from Regent, that, alas John is no longer with Regent.  Darn!  

 

Only wish John, the absolute best for Lynsay, their sons and him in the next cruising chapter of their lives.

John Barron is without a doubt the best cruise director in the industry. If he has gone somewhere else -  how lucky they are to have him and how foolish Regent are to have lost such a dedicated ambassador for their brand.

John Barron is a great CD. We were lucky enough to have him as CD on Seabourn several years ago.
