We don't decorate our door. Just looks too corny to us.

Meh. To each their own.

We wear very formal wear on cruises. Other people think it's dumb/not a thing for a vacation.

I may do something for all our doors for The Big Family Cruise next year.

Or not. You know.... getting my act together to do it and all.

Glad to hear what you do. I also decorate my door & dress up for formal night because I like to do it & I don’t care what other people think.

Perhaps there should be a thread started where people can display their door decorations & their formal wear.

I’ll post some photos to get things started & if people think that it’s dumb so be it.

Festive and fun

I agree. My slogan…”Live Life to the Fullest” & that’s what I plan to do. I get a lot of credit if I wear my Philippine style Barong which is very popular in the Philippines for a formal occasion.

I’ve done custom door magnets for family cruses. When our kids were younger I’d “theme” our cruise and do lanyards and t-shirts and magnets. Like Avengers or something cute and easy.

Be prepared for decorations to disappear. We put up American flags on a Panama cruise 2 weeks after 9/11 and they were gone 4 days after sailing

We put up 2 full size stockings on our Christmas cruise. Came back one night and someone had stolen 1 of them. 😞

Way back in the college dorm days, we had to use poster putty to hang things on our dorm room walls. Removable, reusable, non marking. Works great on cruise cabin doors. We only put one tropical party cutout on our door to make it easier to find.

Went on a family cruise a few years ago (another cruise line). My nieces "borrowed" a few upside-down pineapples (they did not take them all) from some ones door and put them on a relatives door. Hilarity ensued.

At least she returned them, or the relative did after borrowing them
