Sapphire Princess Dining Rooms

We are on the 16 Day July 7 Hawaii sailing and went to make reservations. 

Do all the dining rooms have the same menu every night. Or do I remember that they each had a specialty item or 2.   

If we do the same dining room which is the preferred or nicest?

All dining rooms have the same menu each night. The only difference is if one has Club Class dining. In that case there should be an extra entree offering.

I think when the Diamond and Sapphire debuted, each of the four "themed" dining rooms had one specialty item. I doubt they've done that in years.

Yes, when we sailed Diamond in 2012, they did have 4 themed rooms. I loved the Osse Bucco! Now they seem to have dropped that. Sad.

Regarding the original concept for both the Sapphire and Diamond. It was an attempt to have a different dining experience/menu in each of the 4 mid ship DRs and one DR, deck 6 aft, to be a general menu DR. Princess did not keep this concept very long, maybe as short a 6 months. Princess then had one special menu item in each of the 4 DR's. Over time you could order the special menu items in any of the 5 DRs. Now unless Princess changes something with the initial sailings all DRs will have the same menu except for the one special dinner menu item in the Club Class DR section.

How sad. We really liked the 4 dining rooms with each having a specialty dinner. We will miss that!
