Who's working the Crown Grill for Breakfast?  Anisi, Faye? Antonio? Stephan?  the Coffee Barista is great.  Luis, the Assistant Manager works very hard too.

Please give my love and aloha to her.  Also, if you do lunch in CC....Ricardo makes me my favorite lunch:  Guacamole, Pico De Gallo, and tortilla chips.  Enough to share with everyone (but I ate most of it by myself).

Thanks for allowing me to ride along on this voyage.  Ahhh, love this cruise.

we had dinner at Sabatini’s tonight. It was awesome as usual. Everything I had was a 10 out of 10 forks. Photos are still posting sideways if they are long. Trying again;840527ED-7BC5-4AA2-8EF2-843D476CC99A.thumb.jpeg.d2a650770035d3ce04859b86f91960e8.jpeg

Nicks is not romantic but it has a fun atmosphere and the food is great! Seabass and filet are excellent. You must have the better cake for dessert. To. Die. For. Great wines and all reasonably priced for the South Bay. I’m very happy with our suite. Note though, our balcony on the Royal Class ship was not nearly as nice!

Lol we have enough love that the restaurant doesn’t need to provide romance.  Great food and fun ambiance is what we are looking for.  Thanks again.

We are doing the parking for the first time. It is a big open lot but it is gated and feels very secure. We found the way in with no problem and could see our car from the ship. I will miss the covered parking we have done at the hotel but will be very happy to walk off the ship and get right in our car

Thank you for this information. I hope you are just loving your time at sea.

Does anyone know if cabin B630 has a covered balcony?  We’re sailing on the Grand to Alaska May 25th.

From the real photos I could find, it looks fairly covered. It is one of the more shallow balconies.

We saw the show “Sweet Soul Music” last night which I thought was great. All the dancers and singers were good. Afterwards we sat in Schooners and watched the piano player. He sounds like a mix between Elton John and Billy Joel. Great fun.

This morning we hope to be up in the Sanctuary if the clouds go away. It seems to be partly cloudy so hopefully it will clear. Then it’s the pub crawl at 3 and Chefs Dinner at 6:30.

Time to get some coffee and breakfast. TTFN

I am wondering if you (or anyone else reading this) has ever used the long term parking at the pier. I found the website,  got the costs, read where someone said a month pass actually is cheaper than per day——great tip!

It's cheaper, if you stay at DoubleTree before the cruise. Free parking (in an open lot) for the length of the cruise. We did a 42-day B2B and one night in the hotel. IIRC cost at the time was around $200.

30 days in the port parking lot would cost ~500-600! Yikes!! Free ride to & from the port.

Just continued reading page 2 (?) and saw that DT is now charging for parking. 😢

Guess this will be the last time we stay at DT. Receptionist said we're grandfathered in for the free parking. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

FYI.....Double Tree now charges all guest who do Stay and Park $15 a day parking and you have to put a parking permit in your car for length of time established with hotel or they have you towed away.  They started this a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the heads-up. I called DT and they confirmed. However, we're grandfathered in for our cruise this month. I'll miss staying at the DT.

I beginning to think you are having to much of the above pictured drinks. Did you swim over to a Royal Caribbean ship to watch the piano player ????  Or did you actually stumble into Crooners ????

Love You......... HA HA HA

Wow, that must have been after I left for my cruise.  That will not go over very well with guests who have counted on this service for years.  If that is the case... The Pier is a better option.

Maybe the DT doesn't want to service cruisers anymore. Pretty dumb move, if you ask me.

$15/day vs $20 at the port with no hotel/meal costs vs Vagabond $10 vs Crowne Plaza $12.

We're grandfathered in for our next 2 cruises, then likely start looking at that monthly pass or a cheaper hotel.

Haha you are right! Crooners not Schooners, although I really had fun with the piano sing alongs at Schooners!😂 In my defense we did just get off the Navigator not too long ago. I need you two here to keep me on track! 😉

The captain and crew are telling us we are going to have rainy weather in Hawaii. Boo. I’m not too concerned about some of our excursions but I’ll be bummed if my helicopter ride and the luau is canceled. We shall play it by ear. Lots of clouds around us today.
