We use to always have late fixed dinning, but in Europe that's usually 8.30pm. Find as we get older we prefer earlier mealtimes around 7pm so have started doing Select dinning

We fit ours around the theatr - never miss. We prefer to eat before the show so Select Dining  at 6.30 gives a relaxed meal out by 8.30 and show at 9.0.

We are so pleased to see that you and Iain have Dewa as your stateroom attendant. We were on the itinerary just before you, and we asked him to keep his eye out for you when you were originally in your CS. He said to us that his stateroom responsibilities were changing for your itinerary and that he would not be doing your CS.

When you posted your new RS assignment, we knew you would now be in his good hands. He really is a “people person,” and we enjoyed our little talks each day. It is nice to understand the personal side of the staff on board who are helping us.

If you get a chance, could you please say hello to him for us.

Thanks so much.

Sunday April 20th

Awoke to stronger seas today with a pronounced yaw.   Got up at 8:00 (lost hour last night)

I ran up to el Segundo Al Bacio for my first Coffe of the day.

Just walked away from the counter and the ship had a strong yaw to port.  CRASH 💥 plates and some of the serving trays went flying.

Thanks for bringing us along, Jim and Iain!  We will be on these same cruises NEXT year, so I'll be following closely.  Have a marvelous trip.

I'm sure you will love it.   We have done mostly West Bound's and this is only our  second East Bound.   There is so much going on aboard that no one could participate in all f them.

I agree that if we have to pay $40 to enter the sacrosanct waters of Bermuda we may as well go ashore.  I'm still trying to track down this year's ferry schedule as I'd like to take the ferry to St. George's.  Only one up is last year's and it makes no mention of the Orange Line which is the one that goes to St. George's Monday-Friday.  So it will be interesting to see what you find out.

If we get off which I'm sure we will I'll take a picture of the schedule.     I haven't even looked yet.

I just Googled and found https://www.bermuda4u.com/transport/ferry-service/orange-route/

It says the Ferry to St. Gerorge is seasonal and will resume on April 21 - Guess we aren't going t St. George.

You just never know what the weather will bring. Our first EB on Navigator of the Seas was flat as a table all the way to Tenerife. The next one on Seabourn Odyssey definitely was not.

@Jim_Iainrevolution of the suite looks good. Is that a bottle of Fevertree I spy in the fridge. Must be part of the revolution too 🤣 as I've never previously been able to get it.

Nope.. No Fevertree -  There is a bottle of Kendal Jackson Chardonnay

Add some Sprite (sugar one) to the flowers.   It will at least double their life.  Tip I received from Wanda and have used ever since.

Ahhh..  the old Wanda trick.      She swore by it.

In my experience on cruises it is Americans that dine early. We have also spent many holidays in America and found that restaurants close much earlier than in the U.K.

We are really late dinners and usually go to dinner at 9:00.   I'm not sure if it is normal for Silhouette but the dining rooms are open until 9:30.

American's can indeed eat early also.   My mother use to drive me nuts and dinner was at 5:30 Latest.    It will be interesting to see the hours on the Spain / Portugal / France times.   I've not looked yet.    The staff believes the next cruise will have a large British passenger count.

Don't want to appear jaded but we have seen the show so many times we rarely go.

Last night we were having fun.   I bought an unlimited photo package to spend some OBC and we were clowning around with some pictures.   I'll have to download them later today.

He definitely is a keeper.   Shhhh... I think he's better than the Butler.   Very interesting to talk with and is so interested in learning things about us and sharing about Bali.

He is very attentive and learned our schedule on day one to make sure he can service the room when we are out.

Catch up time again.

Day 1 Dinner

We went to dinner around 8:45 and it was really quiet as they said they had been busy early.  There is a large British passenger load and it was suggested they were dining early.

Yes, we Brits do often have an early dinner, (in our house anyway) we like a 7pm meal. That food looks amazing! Great photos 🥰 love me some food porn! 🤣

Beautiful flowers, how lovely that they were gifted to you. Small acts of kindness go such a long way, especially in these covid times. I might have to try and order these for my husband, its our 25th wedding anniversary when we sail 2nd May. They look great quality. Your suite looks like a small house! Wonderful. Am loving your review thank you 😊

Thanks for that link.  I guess I didn't dig down far enough in their site.  I notice it said it should resume.  Fingers crossed.  We don't get there until May.

Not just the Brits who like to eat early, since we retired, we prefer to have dinner on a cruise ship starting at 6:30pm. At home at 6:00. I have problems sleeping on a full stomach if we eat later than 7pm.
